Navy

The American Navy is too small.  Our navy is smaller than it was before Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan, in 1941.  As recently as the Reagen Administration we had a 600 ship navy.  Since that time we have whittled away at it as the need for a large navy has increased.

As a result of this tiny navy, they are looking at ways to make the navy do more with fewer ships.  They are adding weapons to ships to make more ships able to defeat enemy ships and planes.  Ships designed for specific purposes are now intended for more general combat.

For over a decade we have been at war.  We fail to use the force needed to end the war.  We neglect our navy so we can't fight a conventional war.  Russia and Communist China are moving into deep water again and we not ready; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
