What advantages come to the United States if we take in thousands of refugees from Syria and the Middle East?  We can feel good about ourselves for "doing something" about the refugee crisis.  We set a good example for other nations to take them in.

There do seem to be many disadvantages to taking in refugees.  A few of them may be terrorists and try to do terrorist acts here in the USA, and could kill dozens, even hundreds of Americans.  They are generally penniless and would have to be supported by taxpayer dollars for an indefinite period of time.

The vast majority of them are Muslims from non-democratic nations and so don't share American values of tolerance, obeying the law, equal treatment of women and men, and animal rights.  Most have few skills that will be helpful in our economy.  I think we need to stop taking in so many people for a few years and concentrate on our own until our economy is better, our crime rate is lower, and our government spending is under control; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
