ISIS Death Threats

Recently there was a cartoon contest to show cartoons of Mohammed.  It is considered an insult to depict Mohammed in visual form.  Two men showed up to the contest with rifles, wearing body armor and they were killed by a police officer with a handgun.

Some people think that these types of events should not take place.  I agree that in a civilized society, we should endeavor to be nice and polite to one another, even if we disagree.  Still, just because something is a good idea, does not mean it should be the law.

So if someone wants to hold a contest showing pictures of Mohammed, it is there right to do that and they should be allowed to do that, even if violence is threatened by others who are offended.  We should not blame the victims of violence, we should blame the perpetrators of violence.  Non-violent protest is the proper response, not an armed attack; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
