Gun Rights

The American Revolution started at the end of April when the American militia and the British army traded shots at Lexington and Concord.  The British were there to seize and destroy American weapons and ammunition.

The individual right to keep and bear arms was the touchstone of the American Revolution.  The British were requiring gun registration.  They were then seizing guns that had been registered.  They were preventing Americans from having guns.

One of the first things an oppressive government will do is take guns away from their citizens.  The intention is to prevent citizens from rising against the government.  It also prevents citizens from defending themselves from criminals; which forces people to rely on the government.  The Second Amendment to the Constitution protects all the other rights; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
