Laws Against Everything

We need to downsize the government.  We need to change our paradigm.  The government does not have to do everything.  Just because something is a good idea does not mean they should make it a law.

There is a woman suing her former employer because she says the company discriminated against her because she is a woman.  She says they don't have enough women in her industry.  Who decides how many is enough?  Why do we care if there are female professional basketball players, or judges, or ditch diggers?

If woman are interested in a certain profession, or if they show an aptitude then let them do the job.  If women are particularly good at it then the companies that do that kind of work will hire them, prosper, and be an example to others who can emulate their ideas.  If women are not good at it, then they won't get hired and can do something else.  We don't need to sue companies to enforce someone's idea of fairness, or equity.  It only serves to make us a less competitive market and jobs will go overseas; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
