Taking

“To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.” — Thomas Jefferson, letter to Joseph Milligan, April 6, 1816

The idea of America is that we are each masters of our own destiny.  It does not matter if your father was a king, or a pauper.  What matters is what you make of yourself.  One of the reasons I am not interested in Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush for president is that they are mostly being selected because of their husband or father was president and they have name recognition.

I don't like taking money from people just because they are rich.  The Lord God only wanted 10% from everyone, no matter what their station.  I support a flat tax with no deductions and I think everyone should pay.  We all enjoy the fruits of this nation, we should all pay for the privilege; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
