The Japanese Self Defense Forces are buying the F35 American fighter plane.  They are considering building their own planes and will make a determination in the next few years what to do about fighters.

The Obama Administration has done a poor job of assuring our Asian allies, like Japan, that we are reliable and steadfast.  The USA has allowed our aircraft carrier fleet to fall to levels unheard of in the post WWII era.  That will make it harder to project power to Asia at a time when Communist China is increasing it's military forces.

Several Asian nations are building up their military forces.  Do we really want a resurgent Japan to build aircraft carriers and large numbers of indigenous fighter planes?  If we are to cooperate with Japan in facing Communist China wouldn't it be better if we worked with them to build fighters?  The Obama Administration needs strategies to curb China and secure Japan; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
