Russia vs Japan

Japan has territorial disputes with Russia over northern islands.  They also don't have a peace treaty with them to finalize all the borders and details of the Second World War.  The new Japanese prime minister wants to tie up those loose ends.

As a way to put a little pressure on the Japanese and play some diplomatic hard ball the Russians are sending aircraft to buzz Japanese airspace.  The Japanese are already hard pressed to match the pressure they face from the Communist Chinese in the south.

Japan is an old ally of the United States.  Now that President Obama can't win a war in either Iraq or Afghanistan and can't grow our economy to increase or military to sufficient levels to fight our wars or aid our allies.  Maybe, Russia or China or Japan can take over our role as world policeman?  The United States needs to cut regulation and grow our economy so we can afford to retain our place of pre-eminence in the world, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
