Air Dominance

http://www.defencetalk.com/us-air-dominance-intelligence-surveillance-and-reconnaissance-46974/

President Obama has failed once again to provide leadership.  We have massive cuts in military spending during a war and it's because he is unable to manage the Washington politics needed to get a budget passed.  The United States has spent a fortune on military technology but it has paid off very well.  In terms of air superiority, we actually have air dominance.

No American soldier on the ground has been killed by enemy air attack since the Korean War, over 60 years ago.  No American airman has been shot down by enemy air attack since the Viet Nam War, over 40 years ago.  We have been able to dominate the air space of every battle we have fought since World War Two.

As a great power the United States has an obligation to our citizens to keep our potential enemies at bay and to win the wars we start.  President Obama said he would do that, and yet we simply left Iraq and now we are planning to leave Afghanistan, even if the war is not finished.  The budget needs to be fixed, we need to get our financial house in order so that we can continue to be the dominate power in the world; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
