Election 2012

President Obama has won reelection.  I am very sorry that this happened because I think that he has done a poor job as president the last four years.  By nearly every measure the nation is worse off than when he took office and I think much of that is his fault.

The Republican party has done a poor job of selecting presidential candidates for at least the last eight election cycles.  They have selected men who lack charisma, who lack gravitas and who lack the ability to engage and excite the base of the party as well as the general public.

Bob Dole was a poor public speaker as were both Presidents Bush.  John McCain was not able to energize the base of the party.  He was too liberal.  Mitt Romney did not energize the conservative base and seemed to fade out in the second and third debates.  President Reagan was very conservative and was able to communicate his message well to people who were moderate.  We need presidential candidates like him.  Military veteran, good Christian, who is strongly conservative, has a good business and political background and most importantly can speak well to the general population.  If we can find that person, we can regain the presidency; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
