Christmas Time

The American Family Association is calling for a boycott of Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy stores.  They don't use the word Christmas in any of their stores or advertising.  They do want your Christmas business, however.  MRS Bunkermeister works at a local shopping mall.  Last night after work we walked the mall together and I noticed that indeed those shores were not advertising Christmas.

The vast majority of American are Christians.  Yet our society treats us too often like we don't exist.  We are the largest voting block and the largest marketing demographic.  Too often we don't vote our beliefs, we don't shop our beliefs and we don't live our beliefs.

We can make a huge difference in our society if we will simply put our Christian principles into effect.  Stores that refuse to carry trees but label them holiday trees rather than Christmas trees don't get my business.  December is not holiday time, it's Christmas time; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Banana Republic is expensive anyway. :)

Our local mall has Christmas decorations every single year, and they're up right now along with Christmas music playing over the intercoms nice and early in November.

Excellent. I don't shop at those stores anyway, so I can actually boycott them! Thanks for reading Sarah!
