President Obama

The United States is coming up with an election very soon.  I do not intend to vote for President Obama for re-election.  He has done a few good things since he has been in office.  He has kept the Guantanamo Bay prison open.  He did this despite his promise to close it when he ran for election the first time, but I give him credit for not closing it.  President Obama gave the green light to the Navy SEALS to kill Somali pirates who were holding a ship’s captain and to the Osama bin Laden operation.  I commend him for both of those decisions.

He has not pushed any major gun control laws.  This despite the fact that he is anti-gun and has said he would like to ban “assault rifles” and cheap handguns.  I suspect he will try and do that in his second term, if re-elected.

President Obama has continued to wage war in Afghanistan and continues to fight the War on Radical Islamic Terrorists worldwide.  I think his conduct of the war has been very poor and I don’t think he has any idea how to win the war.  He had us simply walk away in Iraq, rather than achieve victory.  There is no reason to wage war unless you intend to win it and as President it is up to him to provide the leadership and parameters of victory.  President Obama has failed to do enough good to warrant his re-election; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
