Church & State

Liberals believe in the separation of church and state. That is, they believe that religion should play no role in politics. That is, for them everything is political. There are no moral issues, only political ones. Abortion, gun control, taxes, marriage are all political issues and therefore religion cannot speak to those issues.
That's why conservatives cannot point to the Bible or the teachings of the Church as authorities when discussing issues with liberals. Religion has no place in politics. Therefore without religion, man can do whatever he wants. Kill your baby, kill your grandmother, tax the rich, marry homosexuals to each other and it's all okay, because those are political issues, not moral ones.
Liberals have tried to set the agenda and the rules of engagement in politics too long. I say the churches should speak out on every moral issue of the day from the pulpit. If the government does not like it they can take away their tax exempt status, and the churches can then speak without fear. This showdown has been building for decades and it's time those of us on the religious right start fighting back; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Witness for God

Christians were given the Great Commission by Christ. He told us to go into the world and preach the message of His Gospel.

Christ did not say that we should only go were people would not be offended. Christ did not say to preach only to people who don’t already have a religious belief of some kind. Christ did not say don’t preach if it is dangerous, or if you might get arrested. Christ himself set the example; he was killed for his preaching.

A group of Christians were preaching the Word on public streets and were arrested because it was disturbing a group of Muslims who were having a street fair nearby. The Christians were not shouting. They did not have a public address system. The Christians were not interfering with the street fair in any way. They were simply standing in couples or alone on the street and telling passers by about Jesus. They were arrested and went to jail. Eventually they were freed and the city has to pay them for the unlawful arrest. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

There is a law called the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances, FACE Act that prohibits people from blocking the entrance to abortion clinics. It is a sad commentary on the political power of abortion providers that they were able to have a special law passed just for them to keep people from protesting against abortion. Despite this law many protesters go to abortion clinics and stand there peacefully and speak to those young women who might try and go there to seek an abortion.

These protesters are best exemplified by Susan Pine who went to an abortion clinic every Saturday and stood outside and spoke to women to try and prevent them from having an abortion. Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, decided that despite the fact she has stood there for 20 years, suddenly decided she was a criminal and tried to prosecute her under the FACE act.

After three years of legal wrangling, the judge threw out the case and said that the defendant was not guilty, and that no elements of the case were proven by the government and that the case should never have been filed. This is twice in recent months that the government has lost cases were people were simply standing on the public sidewalk, talking to passers-by. We have freedom of speech in this nation, and that means that we are allowed to share our faith, share our opinions without the government having to approve of what we say; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

A Christian graduate student was being forced by her college to accept the homosexual lifestyle as normal. She was told to attend special classes and the school ultimately expelled here because she would not give up her profound Christian belief that homosexual activity is sinful, and unnatural.

She went to court to try and finish college. The court ruled that tolerance includes tolerance of those with a conservative, traditional viewpoint. It is amazing to me that behavior that is actually illegal in many states is being forced on us by a psychological establishment as normal.

When we look to science for the answers to moral questions, we are looking in the wrong place. Many activities may occur in nature but that does not mean they are normal. A person may have a compulsion to set things on fire, but we don’t consider that to be normal or natural. Another person may have a compulsion to have sex with his mother or with little children; we don’t consider that either normal or natural either. We need to look to religion and history for moral guidance; I think we would be hard pressed to find anyone today with the morality and decency of Jesus Christ or George Washington; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

A man, his wife and son were convicted of killing three sisters and another wife because they were too Westernized. They moved to Canada recently from Afghanistan. As they lived here the three girls and one woman assimilated into Canadian culture. The other family members felt they were dishonoring their Islamic roots and so they had to die.

The four murder victims did not even convert to Christianity. They simply started to adopt a Western lifestyle. Sharia does not permit any wavering from the Radical Islamic lifestyle so those who follow that radical path will often murder those who vary from that path. A religion that requires you murder your children is evil. In my opinion it is a form of human sacrifice.

Sharia murder has gone from an unknown phenomenon to one that is all too common in Western nations. Western nations have lost control of their borders. People who are that alien to Western culture should never be allowed to enter our borders. While we should not ban Muslims entry into the United States, certainly Radical Muslims who think it is okay to murder your daughter because she exposes her face in public and wears a mini-skirt don’t belong in a civilized society; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

The Nuclear Regulatory Agency has approved two new nuclear generating plants in Georgia. These are the first new nuclear power plants in 20 years. They should open the flood gates and approve two hundred new nuclear power plants. Our population continues to grow and we need more electricity. Cheap electricity powers industry and creates jobs.

American energy helps to keep our trade deficit under control. If we did not use imported oil to generate electricity it would greatly undermine many of our enemies who use oil money against us and our allies. Americans should not have to reduce our quality of life because we are afraid. We should not have to wear sweaters at home because we are afraid of high energy prices and afraid to build new power plants.

Nuclear energy is safe and clean. The waste can be disposed of safely and without having to truck it around the nation. The only reason we don’t build more nuclear power plants is because of people who are afraid of change, afraid of progress, who don’t want American industry to grow and prosper. We need new energy sources, stop the lawsuits and build the nuclear plants, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

It is not the job of the president or Congress to create jobs. It is their job to facilitate the creation of jobs in the private sector. So the Congress allocated money for the construction of the Erie Canal and gets the canal built. Not because canals are a money maker in and of themselves but because a canal will facilitate the ability of private industry to move goods to market. Private companies will create more jobs as a result and the economy will flourish.

It is not the duty of the government to redistribute wealth. If someone is successful and makes a million dollars a year, it is not the duty of the government to take a lot of that money away to give it to poor people. It is the duty of government to create conditions where the rich can employ those poor people. Lower taxes allow the rich to buy products that the poor can manufacture, giving the poor jobs and taking them off welfare, therefore decreasing the need for high taxes on the rich.

Protect American industry from unfair competition form foreign governments. If the Communist Chinese are using slave labor to build a product then that product should not be sold here. If they are subsidizing their industry with taxpayer dollars then those products should not be sold here or should have a tariff applied to them. It is the duty of the government to facilitate job creation in America, not Red China; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No Rent Control

New York City started rent control in the 1920’s to keep prices down for returning World War One veterans. It was such a good idea that they have kept this emergency law in effect for a hundred years. New York City has tried rent control to bring down rents for nearly a hundred years and yet the “housing emergency” still exists.

This is typical of liberal government programs. They tamper with the free market and then act surprised when their actions don’t bring about the fix they wanted. Rather they get a class of people dependant on them for the government for their livelihood. Tens of thousands of people who live in rent controlled apartments who will continually vote in liberals who will keep the rent control alive.

In a free market system, the veterans would have paid more for rent, new apartments would have been built to accommodate them and rents would have stabilized in a few years. The crisis would have been resolved; just as it has been in every other city in the nation. Rather in New York City, people who own apartment buildings are forced to subsidize their renters by charging below market rents because the government is forcing them to rent their space for below market rates. Stop rent control now; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Gun Control

When liberals can’t get what they want directly they often try other means. We should change laws by having the legislature debate and the governor sign the bill, or have the measure put on the ballot and allow the people to vote. Liberals won’t settle for that if it does not get the results they want.

Liberals want guns banned from private ownerships. Registration is an important step in the confiscation of private guns. They can’t get the federal or state governments to register guns, so now they are trying to get our doctors to register our guns. Liberals have taken firearms rights and changed it into a health care issue. Because people are killed and injured by firearms it has suddenly become a health care problem. People fall in the shower and die; people get stabbed by butcher knives, people trip over their carpet and their dog and get killed. We don’t compile a list of everyone who has a bathtub and a carpet.

Liberals are trying to get every doctor and hospital to ask questions about the presence of firearms in the home. Since nearly everyone goes to the doctor over the course of a couple years, with computer sorting of the responses to questions asked by health care providers in a few years there could be a pretty good list of people who own guns. Then as a matter of health you start taking those guns away. You have a mental health issue, you are depressed, you take medications that make you drowsy, you have children in the home, you are too ill to make decisions, any medical symptom becomes a reason for your doctor to inform the authorities to take your guns away, until all the guns are gone. It is not my doctors business how many guns I own, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Sheriff Joe

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona is known as the nation’s toughest sheriff. One reason is that he has had has deputies enforcing immigration laws by arresting and deporting illegal aliens in association with the Department of Justice. This has angered illegal alien rights groups.

If liberals don’t like a law and can’t get it changed, they do everything they can to stop it from being enforced. In this case they are besmirching the reputation of a tough law and order sheriff in order to protect illegal aliens. They don’t want immigration laws to be enforced, they want open borders.

Rather than lobby for open borders or get people to vote for open borders, they use lawsuits against those who want to protect American sovereignty. Sheriff Joe should not be investigated by the Federal Government. He is not doing anything wrong, he is enforcing the law. That’s his job; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Conservative Values

According to a recent Gallup poll, Americans identify themselves as 40% conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. The majority of Americans are conservative and we outnumber liberals by two to one. We need to activate the conservatives and take back our country. We are letting the tail wag the dog by allowing a small percentage to run the country.

We need conservative judges to become activist judges and reverse decisions that have brought down this nation. We need to overturn Roe vs Wade. We need to repeal anti-gun laws, reinstate the death penalty for murder and kidnapping and rape. Along with that those who are sentenced to death need to be executed in a timely manner not spend decades on death row.

We need to roll back DADT and same sex marriage. As conservatives we need to be more activists. Part of the problem with the Republican Party is that they often speak like conservatives but then don’t actually enact laws or appoint judges based on conservative values. We need to govern as conservatives and fix the nations problems, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Green Black Mail

Blackmail is always wrong, even if it is green. Unions have been using a California law about environmental impact to stop construction projects if the projects are not using union labor. It is a terrible misuse of government power to stop construction projects simply because some union wants to try and use a lawsuit as leverage against a non-union employer.

If union workers provide fantastic service, excellent quality at a competitive price then companies will go with union labor. If union labor is perceived as too difficult to work with, providing too many rules and excessively high wages then companies will be disinclined to see union employees.

There was a time when union workers were perceived as well qualified members of a guild who were highly trained and experienced. They were more expensive than non-union labor but the value they brought to the job was considered worth the extra expense. Now union workers are perceived as over paid, lazy and hiding behind union rules to avoid having to work hard or do the job as required by the employer. This abuse of environmental laws is just one more unfair and immoral tactic used by unions to harass legitimate businesses; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Who Can We Hire?

The Supreme Court of the United States has determined that churches are not bound by most anti-discrimination laws. They have said that if an employee performs the job of a minister then the person can be selected by the church using essentially any criteria they want to use. In this instance the plaintiff said the church violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. The court gave a unanimous verdict in this case.

The real ground breaking ruling would have come if the Supreme Court had tossed out all anti-discrimination laws. It is no business of the government who I hire and who I promote and who I fire or why. Private companies who have jobs and are looking for people to hire don’t owe anyone a moral obligation to hire them. The moral obligation of private companies is to their ownership, to make money.

If I can make all the money I want hiring young, tall, heavy, Chinese-American women, then I should be allowed to do that to the exclusion of all other people. It is my business and it should profit or fail based on my business decisions, not hiring rules imposed by the government. The market place should determine if I need to have a diverse workplace or not, not the government, its about freedom to hire who you want, not hire who the government says you must hire. It’s my job, not the governments’ job; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No Cookies

God has given us stewardship over the Earth. He gives each of us a small amount of money to use to live our lives. Part of our duty as Christians is to use what he gives us wisely. That means the money we spend should be spent for the glory of God, not just for our own amusement.

I like Girl Scout cookies. The chocolate thin mint cookies are great with milk. My daughter was a Girl Scout. It was a great program. It is no longer what it once was, and I will no longer support Girl Scouts by buying their cookies. I will make the sacrifice and forgo eating thin mint chocolate cookies.

The Girl Scouts have become girls in name only. Now they accept boys if they want to be girls. They no longer reflect the traditional American and Christian values they once did. Rather they have bought into the politically correct thinking that embraces the mental illness of children who think they are girls when they are in fact, boys. I will not give them money to continue to carry on the illusion that boys are girls. It’s poor stewardship, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Saturday, March 17, 2012

I think we need to eliminate many of the regulations that cause business to focus on other than their core competencies. California has proposed a law that will fine companies that discriminate against unemployed people in their hiring. Some companies want to hire people who already have a job. California will subject them to investigation and up to a $10,000 fine. No wonder people want to take jobs either out of the state or overseas.
I think companies should be able to hire who they want, promote who they want and fire who they want for any reason or no reason. If a company only wants to hire 20 year old black lesbians with tattoos that's their business. They will rise or fall with the marketplace. The jobs belong to the company not the government and the government should not be telling them who to fire. Not everything that is a good idea should be a law. Generally companies should hire the most qualified without regard to race and such, but if they want to use those criteria, why is it the governments business?
Deregulation, more government R&D on energy generation and build more nuclear plants, and drill and refine more oil is the key to keeping jobs here. Tariffs can help too, but there are products that are not made here that I want to buy and I think foreign competition can help keep American companies on their toes, think about American cars in the 1970s, no innovation, planned obsolescence, poor mileage. Grow the economy by cutting regulation, generating energy, and protecting American jobs; that's view from the Hystercial Right Wing.

President Obama Circumvents Process

The Congress takes a break for Christmas and the New Year and so President Obama uses the break to appoint people to the government as if Congress was in recess for an extended period. The President has done this because he did not think the Congress would approve his appointment so rather than reach across the isle and find candidates who would bring the country together, he simply appointed someone and pretended it was a recess appointment.

President Obama talked a good game about being a president who could bring people together work with the Republicans and then once elected, has totally disregarded the Republicans. His policies have become so divisive that he even has begun to ignore his own party. The Democrats control the Senate, yet President Obama can’t even get them to do his bidding.

For the first two years of his presidency the Democrats controlled both Houses of Congress and even with that President Obama has accomplished little. I think his presidency has been a failure, not only from a conservative point of view but from a liberal viewpoint too. There is no national health insurance, the wars continue, Guantanamo Bay prison is still open and unemployment is still terrible. We need a new president; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Destroy Marriage

Lisa Haisha: Is An Unconventional Marriage The Key To Marital Bliss?

The media has for at least the last fifty years waged a war against marriage. You can hardly watch a movie now where the male and female heroes don’t have sex without being married. The media keeps telling us about same sex “marriage” and how traditional marriage is likely to result in divorce 50% of the time.

Now an article about unconventional marriage being the key to marital bliss has been published on line. It was written by a woman who is married but she and her husband maintain separate households and live apart. She goes on to explain how wonderful this arrangement is because they are so incompatible that they could not be married otherwise.

Naturally, she missed the whole part of marriage where two become one. Marriage is a godly union where two people, one male and one female come together to become one flesh. The wife is supposed to obey her husband and the husband is supposed to love his wife. Through this combination of obedience and love the two people learn to live together, run a household and bring up children. Both people learn to compromise and grow together, not live apart, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

The reports out of Afghanistan are that a US Army soldier shot and killed 16 unarmed civilians, including nine children.  They say he left his post at night and went into two villages and shot and burned people for no apparent reason.

Certainly this is an act of evil and he should be prosecuted for desertion and murder.  If he is found guilty he should receive the death penalty for these terrible crimes. Whatever excuse or grievance he had against the Afghan people there is no justification for this, particularly murdering children.

The final resolution of this including the execution should be completed by the end of 2012.  There is no reason to delay this trial or sentencing if he is found guilty.  Justice delayed is justice denied and these murdered people need justice, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Let Them Eat Cake

Book: White House Hosted 'Wonderland'-Themed Extravagant Hollywood Halloween Bash Before Burton Film Release Fox News

While American unemployment is at 9% and there are more Americans on food stamps than ever before, President Obama is hosting dress up Halloween parties at the White House. With Mrs. Obama in her kitty kat ears outfit plays with the children, Hollywood celebrities dress up the White House and make holiday fun for the children of White House staffers and some veterans’ children.

The Obama Administration thinks that if you invite a few children of veterans then you can claim anything you do is for the veterans. Then it’s okay to have lavish parties while people in the nation suffer, because who can criticize the veterans? How about having the party at a military base and having the children of active and veteran servicemen go there? How about having the party at a veteran’s hospital and make the day happier for veterans who will never be able to visit the White House?

The Obama Administration is living a lavish lifestyle that most of us can’t even dream about. They are doing it on the backs of taxpayers who are carrying a heavier burden every year. They are doing it all the while complaining that the rich are not paying their fair share of taxes. President Obama flies around the nation, for free on Air Force One so he can slam the owners of private jets who pay for them out of their own earnings. Apparently a private jet is only a good idea if the government pays for it according to the President; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Economic Policy

We should begin training new health care professionals right away. We should stop giving any government scholarships to anyone attending law school. We have too many attorneys now and we don’t need anymore. We need more people who can perform health care, not more people to sue health car providers. At least 50% of our law schools should be closed and changed over to medical schools to train doctors, dentists, opticians and nurses. We have a health care crisis and one way to deal with it is to increase supply and that will cut costs. The government should be using the money it gets from cigarette taxes to pay for scholarships for those who want to be medical professionals and are willing to give two years post graduate time as full time Public Health Service and Veterans Administration workers. That will provide medical care for the uninsured and veterans and provide a larger pool of medical workers for our aging population.

We need tort reform. There should not be any class action lawsuits. Each party should have to sue on his own. The lawyers should not get more than any one plaintiff would get in a single action. I recently got a check for $4 from a class action lawsuit filed on my behalf. What a waste of money and I am sure the attorneys got a lot more than $4. If the attorney had to go to court for each one of us and could not charge more than 10% of the individual recovery I am sure that lawsuit would never have been filed.

Medicine is an art form; sometimes people die even when the doctor does everything right. Doing unnecessary tests just to cover their potential liability is no way to run a medical practice. Doctors should practice medicine for the purpose of healing people. We don’t need attorneys looking over their shoulder on every procedure or nit picking their decisions whenever there is a bad outcome. Doctors also need to do a better job of policing their own and state medical boards need to be given more authority to fine practitioners and remove their licenses; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Economic Policy

Freedom is a great economic policy; I support freedom for all people. First, we put a 10% import tax on all good brought in from nations that do no have freedom of religion. So Islamic nations that won’t let Christians practice and proselyte their faith can see the cost of their oil go up 10%. China that won’t let Christians attend churches that are not state sponsored can see the price of all their goods go up 10%. By sending all this money overseas to nations that don’t respect freedom we are giving money to nations that are at best competitors and at worst enemies. Slapping a tax on their goods will decrease demand for them or cause these nations to change.

Oil companies should be free to explore for oil and drill for oil nearly everywhere in the United States and off shore. Energy companies should be free to build nuclear power plants. The lawsuits need to be tossed out of court and energy companies should be building American energy resources to bring energy costs down and increase energy availability. Without inexpensive energy we can’t grow businesses and increase manufacturing.

Cut regulation, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 needs to be amended to what it originally stated, the act should only apply to government and not private persons or companies. Businesses should not be constantly concerned about lawsuits and should be permitted to hire, promote and fire who they want for any reason or no reason. The jobs don’t belong to the government; they belong to the company who pays the employees. These three proposals will help move our nation along the right path. That’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Computer Chips vs Potato Chips

Some economists think it does not matter what the United States makes as long as everyone is working. We can get the products we don’t make from other nations who make them for us, we can buy computer chips from China and they can buy potato chips from the United States. That is fine as a sound bite, deadly in reality.

If the United States is engaged in a shooting war that China does not support, will they sell us the computer chips we need to keep our military running? How about if the war is against an ally of China, like North Korea; or how about if the war is against China? Also how will we pay for computer chips if our people make potato chips? Computer chip making is a high technology job that pays a lot of money. Potato chip making is a low technology job that pays very little. We won’t have the money to buy computer chips. What do we do when China achieves a computer chip breakthrough and won’t sell us the best chips? Then our military falls behind in technology, and their military leaps ahead.

What happens to our economy when China says they don’t want American potato chips because Chinese people don’t eat potato chips? What happens when China says our potato chips don’t meet Chinese standards? Then we can’t export them to China because of red tape, bureaucratic delays and other problems. The United States needs an economic policy that keeps manufacturing jobs that are essential to the health of our economy and our national defense and the wealth of our people here in the United States; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Bipartisan Policy Failure

American troops have pulled out ofIraq. Ironically, when Saddam Hussain was in power the nation was safe for Americans to move around in and yet now it takes large numbers of security men to insure safe travel for Americans. The Bush Administration did a great job of destroying the Saddam regime. They did a poor job of fighting the resulting insurgency. The Obama Administration has done an even worse job.

We need to look to history as our guide in foreign affairs. When you conquer a nation, do as we did after the Second World War it is important to spend the time, money and treasure to put down any insurgency and to install a stable government that will be democratic and friendly to American interests.

American troops stayed in those countries for at least ten years after the war was over and ran those countries as not much more than colonies for at least the first five years. We never should have granted Iraq sovereignty until the war was over. Now we are faced with the possibility that the war with continue and that an unstable Iraq could eventually fall to one or more rebel factions; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Dakota Meyer, Medal Of Honor Award Recipient, Supported By Obama After Doubts Surface

As usual the main stream media manages to cast aspersions on their betters. A Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in combat inAfghanistan. Reporters have since investigated the battle and claimed some of the reports contained information that was untrue, or exaggerated or unsubstantiated.

They go on to say that SGT Dakota Meyer performed above and beyond the call of duty and deserves the medal he was awarded. So what difference does it make that some of the reports are not completely accurate? I don’t think it makes any difference. Anytime you have a group of people writing a report about any incident, even a minor one, there will be omissions, errors and mistakes made. It’s the nature of how people remember, how well or how poorly they write and assumptions the writer might make about the event or the reader.

This is just another example of the main stream media chipping away at the military and our heroes. I am certain that the name SGT Dakota Meyer will never become a household name, but Lindsay Lohan will continue to dominate the news. I am sure that SGT Dakota Meyer will never be taught as a role model in California schools, but homosexual activist Harvey Milk will be. I am sure SGT Dakota Meyer will never have a movie made after his exploits, but we will see more movies about vampires and Hannibal Lector. Our main stream media is helping to destroy the nation that SGT Dakota Meyer put his life on the line to defend, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Pay for It

Decades ago we were told homosexuals just want to be left alone to do whatever they want in the privacy of their own bedroom. It was not the governments business to make homosexual behavior in private an illegal act. I always wondered that even if homosexual behavior was illegal, how anyone would know if it was being done in the privacy of your own bedroom.

Over time of course, the true agenda of the homosexual lobby has become clear. Every homosexual behavior has to be not only public but encouraged, and now paid for by others. Their latest requirement is that companies must provide health insurance to pay for sex change operations for their employees. First of all, this is a complete scam. No one can change their sex; they can only mutilate themselves with surgery, and disrupt their bodies by taking massive doses of drugs and hormones, then pretend to have changed their sex. People who want a sex change operation don’t need surgery, they need mental health professionals.

Now companies are being brow beaten to provide this insurance coverage to be in line with the homosexual agenda. These companies include Raytheon, Office Depot, Best By, Kellogg and Sprint among others. It is too bad more consumers and stock holders are not aware that companies are wasting money paying for health insurance that does not provide health but rather mutilation; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Forget About It

An Iranian Christian, Youcef Nadarkhani was arrested and sits in jail because he is a Christian. He did not want his son to read the Quran in school and that started the investigation that could end with him receiving the death penalty for failure to convert to Islam. Iran is an Islamic nation and it is illegal to convert to Christ or to encourage others to convert to Christ, subject to the death penalty.

The best weapon we have against radical Islam is the Word of the Lord. Muslims know it is called the Sword of the Lord for a reason. God’s true and lively word is a powerful tool against the enemies of Christ. Radical Islam seeks to use worldly power, cruelty, and death to intimidate people into conversion of Islam. It is the only method they have of taking and keeping other nations.

In Christianity we send missionaries who convince people to come to Christ. They use the Bible, and often do good works, as Mother Teresa has done. Helping the sick, orphans, feeding the hungry are traditional methods of bringing people to Christ in the last two centuries. In Radical Islam they use the fear of death to maintain control because they know in the free market of ideas; they lose; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Christian Persecution

For decades the City of Santa Monica has permitted churches to place Nativity scenes in parks. This year a group of atheists asked for permission to use the spaces. Rather than allow a fair and open use of the space, giving each group who requested a space one space, they came up with a lottery system that allowed each group up to three spaces.

Atheists took all but two of 21 spaces, but then they only used three of them. Clearly their intention was to censor the free speech of the Christian groups. Each group should have been accommodated and given one space. If there were more groups than spaces then there should have been a lottery where each group got a chance for one space.

Any group that did not use their space by a specific time should have lost their space to the next group in line. As usual the liberals, who love free speech, but hate it when conservatives talk religion, came up with a plan for a tiny number of people to force their anti-Christian views on the majority of the population. So now instead of displays showing love, redemption and forgiveness and hope, we have photos of Satan and photos that mock Jesus Christ. Remember, liberals are the ones who are fair and inclusive, unless you are a Christian; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Japanese Fighter

It appears that Japan is set to buy the Lockheed martin F-35 fighter plane as it’s new manned aircraft, they intend to buy about forty of them. It is a pretty sad day when forty aircraft are considered a big purchase. As far back as World War Two a single aircraft carrier carried almost a hundred planes.

Forty aircraft to defend all of Japan seems a pitiful amount, still I am glad they are buying American aircraft. The US needs to sell more high technology aircraft to our allies. This is always a good way to keep American jobs and standardize our equipment with those that we will be working with in the event of a major war.

Now that Japan is buying them we should work on selling them to South Korea and Taiwan. The Communist Chinese won’t like that, but we don’t like it when they conduct cyber attacks against our military and civilian industry. Perhaps this would be a good way to express our displeasure; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Why Be Good?

Devon Corneal: Keeping the Faith

A couple has been raising their son without religion. The woman claims in her article she wants her son to be “good.” If you don’t worship a god, how can you have a standard for good? Her moral teaching has been that that he should share his toys and give money to a charity that provides farm animals to Third World people.

What is it that makes this good? Perhaps as a secularist he should want these Third World people to starve so we don’t overpopulate the planet. Perhaps they should not eat meat or keep animals as farm stock since animals have the same moral standing in an atheist world as humans? Why bother to share his toys with others when he derives no ethical or practical benefit?

The mother wants the child to be exposed to a system of “fairness, service, generosity, and taking care of others.” Why? If God has not mandated this, then why not eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die? Is this not the work of Mother Teresa and other Christian charities carry out every day in the world? Providing hope to the hopeless, food to the hungry has long been a Christian tradition. This is an example of why our society is dying; we are failing to pass on our values to our children because we don’t believe in them any longer; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

What Insurers Could Do With Your 'Social Media Score' - DailyFinance

Insurance companies are checking your out on Facebook. They want to get to know you better, find out about your lifestyle and what you do with your time. Do you enjoy going out for a couple beers after work with friends? Did you have a great time on the slopes this weekend, skiing in the mountains, or did you go scuba diving instead? Does that photo of you show a cigarette in your hands?

Risky behaviors as documented in your social media score could mean higher insurance premiums for you. Your social media score is a tally of all the dangerous things you show yourself doing on social media. So if Facebook shows you are an accountant by day but a lion tamer by night, you might have a higher social media score than an accountant who works out at the gym.

While I think private companies generally should be able to charge what they want, I think insurance should strive to make a profit on the aggregate, not on each individual policy. Everyone has risk factors and I suspect they often balance out in the end. The race car driver may get killed in a race, but is probably safer on the freeway than the other drivers. The lion tamer may be at risk at work from lion attack, but safer from robbery than a bank clerk or taxi cab driver. The guy who swims in the ocean may avoid a heart attack, but not a shark attack. It all evens out in the end and that’s what insurance is supposed to do, spread out the risk over a large group of people, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing

When the Congress was first assembled in 1789 and until 1815 they were only paid $6 per day, and that was only when they were in session. Now they make $170,000 a year or more. I think they need a pay cut. The average household income is only about $50,000 per year.

I think the Congress should only be paid the average household income. That would provide them with an incentive to increase the pay for everyone I also think they should have the Social Security System as their only retirement fund. Eliminate their special retirement. Why should they have a lavish retirement after only one term in office when the rest of us have to work to age 67 to retire with a fraction of what we were making when we were working?

Too many in our government are out of touch with the regular people. They have a sense of entitlement that says they can do anything; they can have great perks, huge incomes and jobs for life. One way to cut out some of these problems is to cut their pay and benefits. It used to be that serving in the Congress was a privilege; you left your private sector business, went to serve for a term or two and then returned home to live under the same laws as the rest of us live under. Now they serve for life and exempt themselves from all the laws the rest of us have to deal with. We need to take back our government; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
