Russian & Chinese Stealth

While the Russians are no longer Communists, they are still Russians. The Chinese are still Communists but they are still Chinese. There politics may be different but many of their potential international adversaries remain the same. As a result, many of their own reasons to cooperate with one another remain.

Communist China is working towards reunification with Taiwan, and has never ruled out force. Communist China is also working on the ability to project maritime power in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Russia still wants to control the sea lanes along their eastern coasts. Russia is also starved for cash and thanks to the American trade deficit, China is loaded with cash.

There is now some evidence that the Communist Chinese are getting help from the Russians to develop new stealth fighters. The US Air Force has the most advanced fighters in the world and we have been developing next level of fighter. This is an excellent reason why we need to keep working on and fielding these expensive aircraft no matter the cost. New aircraft for conventional war are a must; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

High Wages

“Why are taxpayers subsidizing a small subset of workers...who are lucky enough to work on a prevailing wage job?"

The prevailing wage laws state that government contracts will be given to companies that pay at least 50% of the prevailing wage in a given market for the same general services. My experience has been that the prevailing wage tends to be vastly greater than the norm for an area for a particular job.

Why do governments have to pay a minimum rate of pay that is greater than the minimum wage? It seems to me that this simply takes money from regular folks as taxes and then enriches the individuals and companies who get prevailing wage contracts. The whole point of bidding for a contract is that some companies will provide great service, and some will provide a great price and some will provide both great service and great price.

Too often the same companies get contracts over and over again and competition is limited. If another company can do the job for less money then they should be able to do the job and save the taxpayers money. The prevailing wage law should be repealed so the taxpayers can save a little money; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Unlike homosexual marriage, free teenage abortions and so many other things the liberals love so much, National Defense is one of the few things the Constitution says is the job of the Federal Government. Despite this the liberals and even a few conservatives are trying to cut the defense budget to save money. That’s the wrong way to go about balancing the budget.

National Defense spending should be determined carefully. Figure out who our potential enemies might be in the world at any given time. Iran, North Korea, Communist China, Al Queda, Communist Cuba would be a good short list. Then determine what we need to have in our military inventory of troops and weapons in order to prevent war if possible and to win war if it can’t be prevented.

Then we determine how much those troops and weapons will cost in order to be prepared now and stay prepared in the next few years. If our potential enemies are spending more year after year, like Communist China, or if they are making constant threats against us, like Iran, and then we need to spend more to maintain our advantage. Once military spending is established, then you determine how much money is left over and spend that on all other programs. National Defense is the most important job done by the Federal Government, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Small Scale Warfare II

What happens when our dependence on the Web is exploited by our enemies? Computers control just about everything in our lives. A high pressure oil pipeline is controlled by computers; a radical environmentalist hacks into the oil company system, closes a valve and causes the pipe to explode. Oil leaks out into sensitive areas and the oil company is blamed. Chinese Communists hack into an aviation company computer and steal stealth fighter secrets. Billions of dollars worth of research and years of time are stolen with a few mouse clicks.

Radical Muslims hack into a banking computer system and steal millions of credit card numbers then use them to buy weapons or anything else to disrupt the financial system. Anarchists hack into a computer owned by a stock broker and place buy and sell orders for millions of shares of stock disrupting trading and costing billions, maybe even trillions of dollars.

How about if Communist China, Radical Islamic Iran or any number of other enemies of the United States train operatives and send them to the US. Once here they get jobs in the IT departments of major corporations, banks, even the US military and on a give day they disrupt all the computers under their control. Even a low level operative with a pair of wire cutters and ten minutes in a computer room or phone switching room can do terrible damage. It could create a window of disruption and opportunity for our enemies to strike at a time when we would have our advantages minimized by their covert operation. Back up systems, good background checks, hardened systems and constant monitoring are needed to keep us safe, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Small Scale Warfare I

One thing the WikiLeaks incident should teach us is that information security is very important. Even a low level operative was able to gather thousands of pages of information and get it published causing serious damage to the national security of the United States. There are two issues here we need to plan for, the first is nation states trying the same thing and rogue individuals continuing to attack our nation.

Large power companies could have disgruntled employees with access to computers that control nuclear or conventional power plants. That disgruntled employee may give improper instructions to the computers and cause the plants to self destruct or simply take them off line for a span of time. Imagine this scenario, union activists disgruntled at the political process turn off the power on presidential Election Day in a dozen major cities all over America. Since most people vote by machine now, millions are disenfranchised.

What do we do about the election? Vote over? Allow those who missed on Election Day to vote the next day? Is that legal? Who decides? If a Republican got the majority of the votes would President Obama stay in office until New York City, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles got a vote do over? Would riots break out until they could vote again? Would the police union tell its members to stay home tomorrow while the cities burn? Could be a serious problem if that happens; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Republican Nominee

I want the nominee for the Republican nomination for president to stand with the Hysterical Right Wing.

Close the border and deport millions of illegal aliens, and require local law enforcement to work with the DHS to locate and deport those who are here illegally.

Reduce government regulation that hinders our international competiveness. Companies in China, India and many other nations don’t face the constant frivolous lawsuits for harassment, the loss of a few cents, and other infringements on their ability to run their companies as they see fit. Along with that, support fair trade. If other nations won’t import our goods then we should not be importing theirs without them paying a heavy price in tariffs.

Repeal Federal gun control laws. Every Democrat president since FDR has continued to restrict the right of the people to keep and bear arms. We need to have these rights restored to us by removing laws that restrict our ability to lawfully own, sell, and bear firearms.

Support religious freedom all over the world. Christians are under attack in many nations, including our own. Iran, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, Communist China, Afghanistan and others persecute Christians, even to the point of death in some cases.

Reform the Social Security and pension system. All government employees from the President to the cop on the street should have Social Security as their only employer paid retirement system. It is unfair and too expensive to give huge retirements to government workers when the people they serve get far less. Privatize Social Security, make it mandatory but have it run by private companies. Have the Federal government regulate it and insure it like the FDIC insures bank deposits.

Pass the Right to Life Amendment, there is nothing more important than the right to life; all other rights are dependant on it. All Federal funding for abortion should stop and we should stop abortion funding overseas as well.

Pass the Defense of Marriage Act as a Constitutional amendment. The liberals and the courts have made a mockery of the DOMA as a law. We need to re-institute the ban on homosexuals serving in the military and expel those who have come out of the closet. Since General George Washington, homosexuals have not been permitted to serve until only a few years ago. DADT did not work and having homosexuals serve openly is no solution either.

Stop permitting women to serve in combat. Women should have as many opportunities as possible to serve in the military but should not serve in jobs that will likely result in combat. Men who endorse women in combat are cowards who would hide behind a woman’s skirt. This has never been acceptable in Western culture in other than an extreme emergency.

Stop bailing out banks and car companies and other businesses. If a business is too big to fail then it won’t fail. If it needs a government bail out then break it up and let it go into bankruptcy. The corner store should not pay taxes to support a bailout of some huge mega corporation. We bailed out Chrysler twice in my lifetime and they are still broken up and owned by Fiat. We should have let them go out of business and reorganize like any other business.

We need to nominate a real conservative, not a RhINO, not a moderate. We have too many compromisers and we need a steadfast candidate who will do what they say they will do; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Rough Seas

The Law of the Sea Treaty is simply another attempt by those foreign governments who compete with America to limit the power of the United States. Lawfare, the use of the law to conduct warfare is raging in the Senate with some Senators doing the work of our enemies. While the rule of law is a good thing, not every law is a good law.

The United States has the most powerful navy in the world. Many of our Allies also have powerful navies. A powerful navy is essential to keep trade routes open, prevent piracy, stop rogue nations from blocking trade, to gather intelligence, and ultimately to project power if necessary to protect American interests.

The Law of the Sea Treaty is a bad law for the United States. The Communist Chinese, North Koreans, Iranians and others want to limit the ability of the American Navy to spy on them and to protect American interests. The Law of the Sea Treaty will do just that, under the pretext of providing special economic zones. Since the earliest of Colonial times America has stood for freedom of the seas, free passage for all ships on the high seas. The Law of the Sea Treaty will violate that basic principle of American belief. We should never ratify that treaty; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Christian Lifestyle

Any system of government must have a moral basis for its existence. In the United States the nation was generally founded on Christian principles. While some of the founders were Jewish, or Deists, none were atheists who believed people did not have to have some kind of spiritual guidance. Reading the writings of most of the founders will show that they believed the nation would be in good hands as long as American followed Christian principles.

President Washington himself said “You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. These will make you a greater and happier people than you are. Congress will do everything they can to assist you in this wise intention.” Certainly those are the words of a man who believes that the power of Christ to change people for the good is an excellent basis for a nation.

America was not founded as a Christian Nation. We do not mix our political beliefs with a specific religious practice. America was founded on Christian principles with the intent that the majority of the people would be Christians, but that no one would be forced to convert to Christianity. The Native Americans could practice their pagan religion without interference. The Jews could continue to be Jewish without being barred any right or privilege of any other citizen. The ideal was clearly, however, that the vast majority of Americans would be Christian and would follow Christian practices as listed in the Ten Commandments. A people who follow even those few rules are well able to govern themselves and will not vote themselves the treasury, or use the government to oppress their fellow citizens; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

'Swift Boat' Veteran Who Defended Kerry Stripped of Silver Star

Senator John Kerry ran for President as a Democrat in 2004. He used his service as a Swift Boat crewman during the Viet Nam War as a major plank in his platform. He had previously made comments that he had spend Christmas in Cambodia, when US forces were not in Cambodia and he said he had witnessed the US military had committing war crimes when he was in Viet Nam. Many Swift Boat veterans came out against Senator Kerry and denounced his claims about his service in Viet Nam.

In his defense, Senator Kerry produced other Swift Boat veterans that said they were familiar with his Viet Nam War service and they supported his bid for the presidency. One of those Swift Boat veterans had been awarded the Silver Star medal for his gallantry in action in the war. The Silver Star is a very prestigious medal.

Now, years later, it seems the man with the Silver Star is the man who lied to get the Silver Star and the award has been rescinded. A man who will lie to gain a military medal for gallantry is a loathsome human being to steal the valor of brave men for their own. The man has also been found in possession of child pornography. It seems the Kerry campaign was relying on the word of a liar and child pornographer to defend their candidate from real heroes; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Abortion Is Wrong

Abortion is okay if the baby will be born handicapped some people say. That is certainly false. Handicapped people are just as much people as everyone else. Just because someone is not perfect does not mean they don’t have a right to be alive. Does this give parents or doctors the right to kill babies after they are born if they are not perfect? How about having abortions because the child is female? That happens now in Communist China and other countries because female children are seen as less desirable.

Poor women can’t afford to have babies. If that is the case, then perhaps poor women should not be having sex or should be using birth control. Maybe we need to make it harder for men to escape paying child support. That would make it easier to pay for children. Perhaps if our society stopped encouraging people to have random, casual sex women would not get pregnant and would not be faced with this choice. Perhaps we need to make our tax laws and welfare systems better to take care of children rather then murder them in the womb.

When people claim that it is wrong to require a woman to have a baby that was conceived as a result of a rape, I have several answers for them. Having an abortion because the mother is the victim of rape is punishing the innocent bystander for the crime of rape. The woman is not punished. The suspect is not punished, but we are giving the death penalty to the person who is totally innocent in this crime. I favor the death penalty for the crime of rape in many circumstances, but not for the baby. If the child is conceived in rape then it is a chance for something wonderful to result from a terrible crime. A human being, made in the image of God is born. A new person is born to share the joys of life, a gift from the Supreme Being as small compensation for a terrible wrong done to a woman; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Gadhafi is Dead

Moammar Gadhafi is dead and while I pray for his soul, I certainly an glad that he is dead. He has made Libya an enemy of the United States for decades. His regime murdered hundreds of Americans and I am glad that we were able to play a role in his destruction.

Some pundits have praised President Obama for his role in the destruction of Moammar Gadhafi. When we were first involved in Libya I encouraged a much larger role for the United States. I predicted that our involvement would be much longer than it should have been because we were not taking a lead role in the war. Now the short war has taken seven months to bring to a conclusion. I believe that it could have been done in three months had the United States taken a leadership role and provided the right force mixture to destroy the Libyan military in a timely manner. President Obama failed to lead in this crisis and should receive only the credit his is due, which is very little.

This war has also shown how weak NATO nations are when they can barely defeat a nearby power like Libya. Both NATO and the USA need to reconsider or defense needs as we look at our budgets. Libya is just south of NATO and should have been an easy target. Within a few days they should not have been a single tank or armored vehicle moving in that nation. We need to rebuild our military, not cut it; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No God, No Peace

Liberty Institute here.

At the death of a loved one people often turn to religion for peace and comfort. The First Amendment to the Constitution provides us with freedom of speech and freedom of religion. The Veterans Administration operates a National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. At that cemetery representatives of the VA have told those running the funerals that they cannot mention God, or Jesus, or wish mourners the Peace of God.

If a veteran dies and his family wants a funeral that is religious, that is their right. The government should not tell the family they can’t have the mention of the Almighty. This should be true no matter what religion the deceased veteran is, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Protestant or any other religion. Those who attend the funeral or who are working the funeral should be permitted to say anything they want at the funeral within the limits of good taste and decorum.

The people responsible for this restriction should be fired immediately. It is an outrage that our veterans cannot be buried without benefit of the blessings of their God. As usual, the main stream media is essentially ignoring this issue because they are too secular to care that God is being pushed from the public square. Maybe it’s time God pushed back; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Dutch Lead The Way

I seldom look to the Dutch for leadership in much, but they may have blazed a trail that we might want to follow. After years of trying to bring immigrants into their nation and accepting them with open arms, they have learned that not everyone who moves there wants to become Dutch.

The Dutch have had problems with Muslims moving to Holland and failing to become Dutch. The Muslims want to force their women to wear burkhas, have their own laws and courts and not learn to speak Dutch or integrate into Dutch society. When Dutch people disagree with that, the Muslims might just murder them, as they have done in a few high profile cases.

The Dutch are requiring those who move to Holland to live to learn to speak Dutch. They must adopt Dutch laws, courts and customs. They must pay their own way. They must over time, become Dutch. The Dutch have realized the danger to their unique culture and society and have taken reasonable steps to save their unique cultural identity. I think we should follow their example, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Retirement Insurance

The Federal Government should privatize our Social Security system. It could work like this; the same money we all pay for Social Security taxes, ourselves and our employers gets put into a private investment fund in a direct deposit. The Federal Government forms a private corporation like the FDIC that insures the deposits in these funds, just like they insure bank deposits. The funds each pay a small amount into the insurance fund so it is self supporting. The private federal corporation does not manage the funds, but they regulate the funds and insure the deposits. They can close a fund and refund the investors if the money is mis-managed.

The individual then can control which fund they deposit their money into, just as we do with a 401(k) or similar investment. We also have the advantage of owning the assets, so if we die we could leave the money to our heirs. The fund could include a disability retirement feature paid for out of the fees charged for the insurance.

This new Social Security system should be mandatory for everyone. Self-employed, Federal employees, state and local employees, railroad workers, union workers, non-union workers, resident aliens, military, police, everyone in public and private industry should be a part of the new system. All public employee pension funds at the federal, state, and local level would be eliminated and rolled into this system. The transition to this system is just a matter of details and everyone should be made whole. The system we have now is not working and has not worked in decades; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Social Security Fraud

Social Security taxes are a regressive tax on income. It is paid by the middle and lower class working people who expect when they retire or if they become disabled money will be there, set aside, and waiting for them to be paid out monthly for as long as they live. That is what politicians have always told us. The fund is described as being in a lock box or in a trust fund.

The reality is that the money was spent years ago. Every dime that was collected was spent on disability payments, retirement payments, or spent as part of the general expenses of running the government. There is no trust fund. There is no lock box. It’s all a scam and a fraud. The money is long gone.

The Social Security system is a pay as you go system. The Social Security tax money comes in all month long and on the third of each month the checks are sent out. There is no back up money. If the money does not come in, it can’t go out. If the money does not get paid as Social Security payroll taxes than the government has to borrow the money before the checks clear or they will bounce. We need to privatize the system because it’s already broke and there is no sign it will get any better; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Mosque Good, Church Bad

In the rush to rebuild after the 9/11 disaster the City of New York is helping Muslims to build a massive mosque to help commemorate the day. That is part of the tradition of Islam. When a nation or city has been conquered, they build mosques there as a symbol of their conquest. The other aspect of this tradition is that they often take over existing Christian churches as they did when the Byzantine Empire fell.

In this instance the Christian church was St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The church is not being taken over because like the Twin Towers it was destroyed in the attacks by Radical Muslims. Now the Port Authority of New York and New York City are acting like the puppets of Radical Islam and preventing the rebuilding of the Orthodox Church.

All the while the City is trying everything they can to get the mega mosque built. They are cutting red tape, gaining taxpayer funds, and sending messages of encouragement to the Radical Muslims behind the 9/11 mosque. They are doing just the opposite for the Christian Church. The church is being held up at every opportunity by red tape, regulations and after ten years has been unable to rebuild their church that had stood on that spot since 1916. That year, 1916 is in the middle of the Armenian Genocide; a time when Turkish Muslims were murdering innocent Orthodox Christian Armenians by the millions. It looks like another crime perpetrated by Radical Muslims against Orthodox Christians and overlooked by America is the failure to rebuild this church; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No Straws?

Once again the main stream media is trying to reduce the standard of living of all Americans. Some ten year old kid is trying to get fast food restaurants to only provide straws to customers on request. The tradition has been that every cold beverage is furnished with a straw because the crushed or cubed ice in the drink makes it difficult to consume without a straw. He is concerned that all these straws end up in landfills and that even biodegradable straws won’t degrade and so straws will last for decades.

The main stream media tries constantly to tell use that a lower standard of living is better than a higher standard of living. Buy a smaller car and use less oil. Live in a smaller home and have a smaller carbon footprint. Use cloth bags to carry your groceries. Don’t use disposable diapers, use cloth ones and just wash them. Now they want us to stop using straws.

The green people never have a better solution than to do less. I am an American. It is part of my heritage as an American to live large and abundant lives. It is not in our character to scrimp and cut and trim and do less with less. I am all about preserving the environment. I don’t want to kill off species and have a dying planet. I would like the environmental types to actually improve my life, not require me to make more cuts in my lifestyle. Give a two ton car that gets 100 miles to the gallon. Give me an air conditioner that gives just as much air but at half the cost and half the energy use. Give me solar electricity that pays for itself in a year, not thirty years. Give me a new straw that is as cheap as the ones we use now that falls apart in a landfill leaving a fresh pine scent. Make it better and you won’t have to convince me to use it, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Our society has become so rich, comfortable, safe and powerful that people have too much time on their hands. They no longer have to worry about their own survival or about having children. As a result, people with too much time on their hands come up with other things to do. Two hundred years ago people worried about the immediate problem. How can I grow and preserve enough food to get through the winter. As a result they became self sufficient or they died in December of starvation.

Today people worry about things that are outside their control. They worry about global warming. They worry about unemployment. They worry about crop failures. They worry about war, famine and disease. As a result people become stressed out and begin to engage in erratic and deviant behaviors such as homosexuality. Eco-sexuality is another example of that behavior.

In experiments, rats are kept in a cage and denied sleep or food or water or exposed to loud noises or overcrowding. They can’t cope with these stressors with their usual coping mechanisms. As a result they become cannibals; they perform homosexual acts and even mutilate or kill themselves or each other. I believe that people have the same responses, especially when they don’t have a strong belief in Jesus as Lord. It is important that we don’t let our worries drive us into immorality; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Public School Homosexual Indoctrination

A student at Augusta State University in Georgia was told she had to accept the homosexual lifestyle as normal in order to proceed in her studies. She was working on a master’s degree in elementary school counseling. She expressed her Christian belief that homosexual behavior was immoral in and inappropriate. As a result she was required by the school to attend a “gay pride” event. When she refused because it violated her Christian conscience, she was kicked out of school.

This is not a private school. Private schools should have the freedom to present whatever curricula that they think is best for their students. Public schools should reflect the values and morality of the public. Most Americans do not consider homosexual behavior to be normative and certainly it seems outrageous that someone studying to counsel elementary school children should embrace the homosexual lifestyle as normal.

The homosexual lobby has been trying to force their immoral behavior on the rest of society for the last fifty years. They pretend they are an oppressed minority not unlike a racial minority. Homosexuals are a tiny segment of the population that voluntarily participates in acts that most Americans believe to be immoral. It is wrong for a public school to force the radical homosexual agenda on their students. I applaud Jennifer Keeton for her stance against this propaganda masquerading as education; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Tax Increases

President Obama recently made a speech saying he wanted to tax millionaires and billionaires. Then CNN came on afterwards and said those who make $174,000 a year would get a tax increase under the Obama plan. In southern California a police supervisor can make that much with overtime. Someone who makes that much money is hardly a millionaire.

Then the President said he wanted to tax those who had corporate jets, because they could afford to pay more. He forgets those who fly the jets, make the jets, fuel the jets, maintain and repair the jets are not millionaires. When millionaires stop flying because the taxes are too high, then those jobs are lost.

Ask those in the yacht industry; President Clinton passed a luxury tax on all American yachts. It killed the yacht industry; they are all now made in Italy, Greece, and Spain and of course, Communist China. What the Gallup poll really says is tax anyone else, just don't tax me. I don’t think we should raise taxes on anyone, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Tolerance Of Them, Not Of US

Mocking of Christ part of 'tolerance'? (

Homosexuals in San Francisco held a “Hunky Christ” contest on Easter Sunday. They also had men dress as nuns at the event. This is typical of those in the homosexual lifestyle that they will ridicule others but use every opportunity to sue anyone who opposes them.

In my lifetime, men dressing in women’s clothing in public was illegal. Men engaging in homosexual activity was also illegal in California. We were told that homosexuals simply wanted to live quiet lives like everyone else. They wanted their sexuality to be legal so they did not have to fear the police and could support the government. Now homosexual behavior is legal and so is cross-dressing. This is what we get for our liberalism.

Constant public displays of homosexual behavior specifically designed to offend those who believe that homosexual behavior is immoral. Homosexual activists can’t simply discuss their rational for their behavior, they have to mock and ridicule those who don’t share their opinion. They know they can’t win the debate so they don’t debate.

The liberalization of homosexuality has been accompanied by AIDs, high rates of other STDs, murder and suicide. Homosexuals have asked for an often been granted special legal protections not given to heterosexuals, like employment and hiring protections. Homosexuals have not only perverted sexual practices but they are trying to pervert marriage, military service and other institutions’ to accept them as fully normal, despite centuries of history to the contrary. Homosexuality is an abomination to God, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Union Politics

In Wisconsin the state government removed the right of state workers to collective bargaining. That is they took away their girth to form a public employees union. I have always been concerned that public sector employees had the right to form unions. Public employees are not the same as private sector employees. They are working for jobs to serve the general public, not to make a profit. Generally they should be working as a matter of public service and it is not unreasonable for them to expect to expect pay, benefits, or working conditions that may not be as good as can be found in private, for profit, businesses. That’s the service part of pubic service.

Once the Wisconsin state government took away the state employee union they began shopping the marketplace for employee health insurance. They found that the insurance they had been getting before was through a company that was owned by the public employees union. So the state would pay the insurance company that in turn would give money to liberal and big government politicians who supported the union. Essentially public money was being used to finance big government politicians who were in bed with the unions. These politicians in turn would be unwilling to challenge this system because it provided them the money they needed to get reelected.

The Wisconsin state government found out the insurance they were buying was very expensive and not competitive with other insurance companies. Several agencies have taken their insurance to other companies who are not involved in political financing and those agencies have in some cases, gone from a budget deficit to a budget surplus. Government unions and government corruption, they seem to have gone hand in hand in Wisconsin. Seems to me like we should be removing the right to collective bargaining in other states too; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Pro-Family or Anti-Gay

Tennessee Anti-Gay Bill, Backed By State Chamber Of Commerce, Puts Big Business In A Tough Spot

The state of Tennessee passed a law to prevent local governments from making laws to prevent discrimination. Some cities had passed laws to prevent private companies from discriminating against homosexuals. There were two reasons to pass this law. The most important reason is that private companies and individuals should not be required to hire people who live a lifestyle that the employer considers to be immoral. The second reason to pass this law is that employment laws should be uniform throughout the whole state.

If every little town and county could pass their own anti-discrimination law then you end up with a state with a patchwork of laws that make compliance very difficult. A company that provides services in several cities that have these laws might be subject to conflicting standards. The government should not intrude on the private decisions of who companies hire or fire, promote or demote based on their own business model, not government determinations that this or that group is special and deserves more rights than another group.

This is the type of laws that make American business less competitive. Lawsuits for discrimination cut into profits even when the business wins the lawsuit. Many companies will settle just to limit their damages even if they have done nothing wrong. If applicants are valuable then companies will hire them. Companies are private and they should be able to hire and fire whoever they want to, no matter what the reason. The jobs belong to the employer not to the company. If customers don’t like companies hiring practices then customers can take their dollars elsewhere. Freedom to hire and fire employees as you want, without government interference; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Same Sex Marriage

Bert And Ernie Gay Marriage? Sesame Street Says No

Homosexual activists have been trying to get Sesame Street to claim that the puppets Bert & Ernie are homosexual. These activists also want Sesame Street to have a “gay marriage” for the two characters. Years ago we were told by homosexual activists that they just wanted their sexual activities to be legalized so that they could live their lives quietly without fear. Of course, that was a lie. Now we see that no part of society is outside their range of demands.

Even children’s television characters are supposed to bend to the wishes of homosexual activists who want to turn all of society upside down. Very few states have legalized homosexual marriage and most that have did so as a result of activist judges or legislatures acting against the will of the majority of their people. Homosexual activists want to destroy traditional American and Christian morality by equating their perverted lifestyle choices with those of normal people.

Too many people no longer understand the asexual male bonding exhibited by Bert and Ernie. Judges have forced men to accept women into asexual male society and have destroyed many men’s’ clubs that were formally all male. Boys need role models of males who have friends who are male, but they are not homosexual or sexually involved. Homosexual activists want to sexualize everything, even our children and that’s just wrong; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Soccer is a Higher Power Than God

Church To Fight Washington State Decision To Prohibit Baptism In Public Park Fox News

A church in Washington State wanted to hold a baptism in a public park. They were planning on bringing their own water to perform baptisms in the park. They would not have had any more effect on the park than a soccer game or football game or even family reunion and picnic. The State said they could not use the park for a religious purpose.

The Constitution provides that the government must not have a religious test to hold office and that the government shall not have an official religion. The phrase “Separation of church and state” does not appear in the Constitution. That phrase comes from a private letter from Thomas Jefferson, it is not the law.

There is no legitimate reason why this church should not be permitted to use the park for a baptism. Many parks are used for weddings, many of which are religious services. The baptism will not create a problem for the park, it won’t damage the facility, it won’t be more disruptive than any other event, a sporting event or company picnic. The church is not asking for anything that other groups don’t get all the time. They are being denied simply because their purpose is religious. This is a religious discrimination issue, not a separation of church and state issue. The state is not being asked to provide anything to the church they don’t provide to anyone else. It’s the typical liberal mindset that seeks to keep all religion out of public life, that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Unmeasured Strength

Unmeasured Strength, Lauren Manning, Henry Holt and Company, LLC, New York, NY 2011, ISBN 978-0-8050-9463-3 I got a free copy of this book to review and it was a good book. Lauren Manning was horribly burned in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Hundreds of people she knew were killed that day. Her husband just missed being killed but did not attend a meeting that morning as he was scheduled to do that day. The War Against Radical Islam is a war fought not just by solders but by police and regular people too. The Radical Muslim enemy does not have objectives in a classical military sense.

They don’t target military targets, arms factories, and military infrastructure. They target innocent women, children and old people. They intentionally target people who are simply going about their business not harming anyone. While the West many sometimes kill innocent civilians they are not the target. Western airpower may target a command post and it may miss and hit an apartment next door. Western airpower might target an arms stockpile and the explosions my damage a hospital across the street. The terrorists target the apartment. The terrorists attack the hospital. There is no pretext of trying to attack a military target alone.

This book explains the damage that is down when someone who is wounded. We read the numbers in a terror attack of so many killed and so many wounded. We don’t usually realize what that can mean to people. Lauren Manning suffered terrible pain, permanent disfigurement, amputation and years of surgeries and treatment to return to some semblance of normal after the attacks. We fight the War Against Radical Islam to prevent more stories like that of Lauren Manning; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Obama Jobs

President Obama has said he wants to spend 4.5 billion dollars on jobs. Experts on CNN have said they might reduce unemployment by as much as one percent. So unemployment would be reduced from a record high of 9.1% to a record high of 8.1%. That doe not seem like much progress to me.

President Obama wants to spend 4.5 billion dollars on a jobs program to employ perhaps one or two million people. If we simply divide up the money we could give fifteen million people jobs that pay about $34,000 per year. The advantage of this version is that everyone who is now unemployed would have a job. President Obama does not want to do this because it would deny his ability to target various groups for political favors.

President Obama wants to spend 4.5 billion dollars on a jobs program that won’t solve our unemployment program. At the same time there is a bipartisan commission to cut 1.2 trillion dollars from the budget. How about if we cut the 4.5 billion dollar President Obama jobs program from the budget and then the bipartisan commission only has to but .8 trillion dollars from the budget, because one third of their job will be done; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

North Korean Torture

Communist North Korea maintains at least six prison camps holding as many as 200,000 people in jail. The people held in these prisons are denied basic human rights. No one is allowed inside these prisons to inspect them or to visit prisoners. The North Korean regime even denies that these prison camps exist.

According to people who have escaped from these prisons say that they were tortured in many ways. Often neither little nor no food is provided and they are forced to eat insects to survive. A few years ago I remember reading about an American prisoner who complained that he was served a cookie and it was broken. In America prisoners think they are due something because they are served a cookie and it makes the news. In North Korea the inmates have to eat bugs to survive and the main stream media ignores it.

This is the same North Korea that is building missiles and launching them over Japan to splash in the water near Hawaii. North Korean generals claim they are building better missiles too. They are also exporting them to Iran and other parts of the Middle East. This is same North Korea that is building nuclear weapons and denies inspectors the right to check out their progress. We need to be more focused on North Korea and work toward regime change. Nations that threaten the United States with attack should be destabilized and overthrown; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
