Chinese Cars

Communist China is now making cars that they intend to export to the United States. Now that our automobile industry is so swamped with imports from Germany, Italy and Japan the Communist Chinese want to sell cars here. This will only further erode American car companies’ ability to pay a decent wage to its workers and drive them farther into bankruptcy. The Federal government just bailed out two major automakers and now they are faced with the Chinese problem.

I favor international trade that is free and fair. A level playing field between nations is what is required. Chinese vehicles should be sold in the United States under the same requirements, quotas and circumstance that American cars are sold in China. If the Chinese want to sell a million cars in the United States then the US should be permitted to sell a million cars in China.

Too often we have permitted other nations to sell their products here without regard to the market conditions in their nations. The Japanese sell millions of cars here in the USA but American companies are tied up in red tape whenever they try to sell cars in Japan. We should not let that happen with the Communist Chinese and now is the time to get ahead of the problem before there are millions of Chinese cars sold here; that’s the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
