Electric Voting

Proposition 16 - Taxpayers Right to Vote Act: Yes on Prop 16 California has Proposition 16 on the ballot next election. It will prevent local governments from entering the electrical utility business without getting two thirds approval from the voters. California has been on the edge financially for decades. We are approaching crisis and the last thing we need is local governments buying public utilities. The state has also had an electric crisis. We have had too much government control over prices, so we don't have a free market for electricity. Now more local governments are tying to move into the utility business. Years ago I lived in Anaheim, and the city had a rather poor public electric system. Everytime the wind would blow, the lights would go out. In a state with police being laid off due to lack of money, criminals being let out of prison early due to a lack of money, the last thing we need is governments buying or starting utilities. Private companies do a much better job of providing electricity; vote no on Proposition 16, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Suffer for Gaia

Cold Comforts: Antarctic Research Bases Are Seriously Self-Sustaining Magazine Wired.com When I read this article I was stuck by the fact that a computer will determine which electrical needs will be filled first. They don't indicate that humans will be able to over-ride the computer decisions. They also talk about how new and state of the art these bases are. If these bases are all that great, then why are the constructed with a build in energy shortage? Why build solar arrays and windmills and still have to put limits on how much energy people are able to utilize? Why not just keep adding solar panels and windmills until everyone has a much electricity as they want? Why should I have to sit in a dark room, unable to read, because you are using your computer? Why do you have to walk down a cold hallway to get to your workstation because the heating does not have electricity to keep the hallways comfortable? Sometimes I think the environment movement is not happy unless they can control peoples lives and make them suffer. They want them to suffer inconvenience, and even hardship in the name of the environment. The environment exists to support human life, not the other way around. Install more batteries, add a few solar panels, and build more windmills, or even a nuclear plant until everyone has all the juice they need to be happy, comfortable and care free. The Antarctic is harsh enough without having to sit alone, in the cold, in the dark because someones ideology thinks you need to suffer for the ecosystem; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Scientists Must Go

NTI: Global Security Newswire - Pentagon Says U.S. Could be Within Reach of Iranian Missiles by 2015 The same Iran that is building towards constructing nuclear weapons is also building missiles that could reach the United States as soon as 2015. By the end of the second Obama Administration, we could be faced with nuclear blackmail by Iran. President Obama gave up a forward missile defense system in order to make an agreement with Russia on their missile weapons. What good is that is the Iranians then make missiles that can strike the USA? Our missile defense system was designed to protect Western and Central Europe from Iranian attack. Now we may be faced with a direct attack by Iran. Iran has consistently lied about their nuclear programs and we continue to let them get away with it. They say they don't have nuclear plants and then a few years later, they admit they have had them all along. Every day brings us closer to the day when Iran could have nuclear weapons. The US had nuclear weapons sixty years ago. This is a very old technology. It is not reasonable to think that a nation like Iran cannot build nuclear weapons given enough time. Our negotiations with them have been fruitless. We need to strike Iran and destroy their ability to continue to work on long range missiles and nuclear weapons. Our special operations personnel need to be able to capture or kill their missile and nuclear scientists. Only then will be sure they cannot build these weapons. Simply trying to bomb a few sites may not be enough. It is the scientist that are the most important link in that chain; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

South Park

'South Park' Episode Censored After Threat From Muslim Group - AOL News South Park was satirizing the depiction of the Muhammad in cartoon in Europe a few years ago. While doing that they angered Muslims who then made veiled death threats against them. Naturally, the people who show South Park immediately censored the show. I have watched a few episodes of South Park over the years, and find the show degrading, disgusting and not funny. Despite that, I have never made death threats against them. Radical Muslims are controlling the Western media. They are unhappy with a show, an article, a cartoon, then they murder the people they think are in charge of the publication. Once they murder a few people, they then use the fear, the terror, caused by those first murders to terrorize others. The West is fighting a war on many fronts against Radical Islam. We are fighting a war against those who blow up buildings with airplanes. We are at war with those who murder journalists. We are at war with those who use the terror caused by those incidents to press the West to change our values to Islamic values. Women wearing headdresses that cover their face for their drivers license photo, special food in cafeterias, and now censorship of cartoons on television, finally Sharia Law, that's their goal; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Money For Nothing

http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/31/3119.asp The City of Los Angeles is using cameras to issue tickets for drivers who make illegal right hand turns. Naturally, they will tell you it is about safety, but in fact, the real reason for these citations is for raising revenue. While eighty percent of the citations are for illegal right hand turns fewer than three percent of the accidents at those intersections involved unsafe turning movements. Most traffic accidents that are the result of turns are the result of left hand turns. So the city is raking in millions of dollars citing people for turning movements that while technically illegal, are not really unsafe. At times of economic distress, the city is trying to make more revenue by looking for technical violations of the law in the guise of traffic safety. They are raising more money, rather than cutting services. They are squeezing already overburdened taxpayers with fines for doing something that is not generally unsafe, writing tickets for acts that live police would never cite them for doing. This only decreases respect for the law, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

SEAL Trial

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/04/22/navy.seal.verdict/index.html?eref=rss_topstories&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fcnn_topstories+%28RSS%3A+Top+Stories%29&utm_content=Google+Reader A US Navy SEAL has been found not guilty of all charges in a terrorist trail in Iraq. This is good news, but he never should have been in court in the first place. The enemies of our nation are using lawfare to weaken our armed forces. They make charges of torture, and violations of their rights at every opportunity. Then good men are removed from combat and our military spends weeks, months, even years in investigations and trials rather than in war fighting. The allegations were simply that a prisoner was slapped around a little. These are the same people who cut prisoners heads off with a butcher knife, while video taping the torture and murder; all the while chanting Allah is great. I think that prisoners should not be mistreated. I also think that minor mistreatment can be dealt with administratively, rather than have it be treated with as a criminal act. Our enemies are using our laws and our rules to inflict damage upon us. The best military men we have are taken out of the fight for months because some unlawful combatant claims our troops acted improperly. They are not good enough to defeat our soldiers on the field, so they are trying to defeat them in court. We should not permit that; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Scandal

http://selwynduke.typepad.com/selwyndukecom/2010/04/are-the-church-abuse-cases-problems-of-homosexuality.html The Roman Catholic Church mis-handled the priest sex scandal. They should have reported all suspected abuse to the police, immediately and cooperated with the investigation. They should have kept those priests away from children and made sure their bishops were aware of what was happening. The main stream media continues to publish stories about the pedophile priests. They give the impression that most Roman Catholic Priests were raping children until just recently. They don't tell you that most of these incidents happened more than thirty years ago, and many as much as sixty years ago. They also fail to tell you that rather than tens of thousands of suspects, there are only a few hundred and most of the attacks were done by a small number of priests that repeated the offense hundreds of times. The other thing to remember, is that priests actually commit fewer assaults than teachers, and no more than clergy of other religions. The final thing the main stream media overlooks, is most of the sexual relations were between teenage boys and young priests. They were homosexual men, preying on young post-adolescent boys. The main stream media seemly protects homosexual transgressions, but since they don't like the Catholic Church, they try their best to make the situation seem worse than it is; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

State Issue

(http://www.examiner.com/x-37621-Public-Safety-Examiner~y2010m4d23-Obama-threatens-Arizona-with-Justice-Department-investigation) For years, Democrats have blocked immigration reform and the efforts of the Republicans to secure the nations borders. While unemployment is in double digits, the Democrats, with both Houses of Congress and the President, they still can't seem to figure out what to do about the problems caused by illegal immigration. In the meantime, the worst thing imaginable, for the Democrats, has happened. One of the states has taken a effective step to solve the problem! Arizona has passed a law to require non-citizens to carry identification of their status, and allows illegal aliens to be arrested by local law enforcement. There are thousands of police officers in Arizona and if they each arrest only one illegal alien every few days, they could take hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens off the streets every year. President Obama did not praise the state of Arizona for their willingness to step up and solve the problem, rather he threatened them with potential action by the Justice Department. President Obama would rather worry about the rights of illegal aliens, than the rights of American citizens; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Environment

http://libertydefenseleague.com/2010/04/12/warning-the-danger-of-people/ For the last fifty years or more, I have been hearing about how dangerous it is for us to have children. The liberal environmental types run around telling us how terrible it is for Americans to live a middle class modern lifestyle. They keep telling us that we are too great a strain on the Earth and the best we can do is to refuse to have children. Some of them use that as a springboard to advocate euthanasia, even suicide to reduce the number of people on the planet. This is what happens when environmentalism runs to an extreme. They revere the Earth over people. They think that people are a problem. They think that people are of no value. The human is the most valuable thing on the Earth. Without people, the Earth is of no value. There is no reason to save the Earth, without people to live here. People are a valuable resource. People should leave decent, honorable lives. As the standard of living increases, people have fewer children. That allows people to take better care of their children. With the use of high technologies we can reduce the negative impact of people on the environment, but people are more important than the environment. The environment is just where the people live; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Freedom From Religion in School

http://townhall.com/columnists/JosephCPhillips/2010/04/15/god_in_our_classrooms?page=full A public high school teacher has had banners with such inflammatory remarks as “One Nation Under God” posted in his classroom. They were posted there for the last twenty-five years. Suddenly, the principal feels the need to force him to remove the banner, and the school district backs up the principal. The whole thing goes to court and the courts give two different verdicts. Why is it that a phrase that is in the Pledge of Allegiance that presumably, the children say every day in high school is so offensive that it cannot be posted in that same classroom. This nation was founded by religious believers on the principles of the Old and New Testament. Now, posting quotations from those books or from believers in those principles is suddenly so terrible that children can no longer read them in school. Naturally, the school is selective in their concern for the right to freedom from religion. Posters, banners and documents from non-Christian religions, philosophies is perfectly fine. They are not taken down in the same high school that prohibits Christian speech. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion were given to us by Christians, but are now prohibited to Christians; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Guns

http://www.thefreemanonline.org/featured/just-dial-911-the-myth-of-police-protection/print/ People tell you that you don't need a gun anymore, like we did in the olden times. We used to live on the frontier, in the wild west and there was no law. Now we live in big cities. People are protected by police departments. Police are well trained and have guns. Police respond immediately in high speed vehicles. A call from anywhere can be made by cell phone. Nearly everyone has a cell phone, even children. According to a study cited in the above article, police only respond three percent of the time quickly enough to interrupt the criminal act. That means the other 97% of the time, crime victims are on their own. Good people need guns to protect themselves. In California, carrying a loaded gun, concealed on your person, can get you a year in jail if you don't have a permit. Armed robbery is a felony and will get you years in state prison if you are convicted. Can any reasonable person think that a criminal will not use a gun in a robbery if the enhancement is only a year? Criminals are willing to risk going to state prison for years to perform their criminal acts. The average citizen will not want to risk county jail, so the law has the effect of disarming the citizen, but leaving the criminals with guns. The law should not be an enemy of the good people. Good people should be allowed to carry guns to protect themselves; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Submit or Die

http://homelandsecurityus.com/archives/3707 An American man in Chicago has murdered his wife and kids because she has refused to submit to Allah. He went to prison years ago and while there he was converted to Islam. When he got out of prison, he determined that his whole family should become Muslims also. When they refused his demands, he murdered them all. This is exactly what Radical Islam has in store for us all. Submission to the will of Allah or death. This is what our main stream media overlooks time and time again. It does not matter that most American Muslims are appalled at this interpretation of Islam. Their opinion does not matter to the radicals in their midst. The moderate Muslims are co-opted by the radicals who have taken over their religion. That is why our fight in the West is an ideological one against all Islam. Wherever Islam goes, it takes the Radical Muslims with it. And where the Radicals are, jihad and honor killings are there too. Even in a nation like America where divorce is easy and this man could have simply walked away from his family, he choose the Radical Islamic path, submit or be murdered. That simply is the plan all Radical Islam has for all of us in the Western nations, submit to the will of Allah or be murdered; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Nuclear Attack

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=126343 President Obama has told us the new policy is that the USA will not use nuclear weapons against nations that don't already have them. Too bad President Truman did not have this policy. That way we could have waited a few years before dropping a pair of atomic bombs on Japan, once they had their own. Fairness is certainly the most important goal in international relations. The Russians have announced their new nuclear policy. They are looking to establish a first strike policy. So the US is renouncing nuclear weapons, moving towards a nuclear free world, while the Russians are working towards a nuclear first strike nuclear ability. It seems to me the Obama policy is one that in a few years could leave the USA without any nuclear weapons facing other nations that have first strike ability. The US should never have to rely on the good will of other nations for our defense. We need a military posture that gives us the maximum freedom of action to take whatever means are necessary to defend ourselves. There are no second chances in international diplomacy and warfare. The US was more powerful than any of our potential enemies during the Cold War and we won that war. Should be an example we should follow now too; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Teachers or Priests?

http://townhall.com/columnists/RebeccaHagelin/2010/04/06/the_marketing_of_evil?page=full The main stream media every day try and tell us that evil is good and good is evil. They do it overtly and they do it covertly. A few years ago Taco Bell used a cute little Chihuahua dog to help them market their Mexican fast food. Eventually, they started using Marxist imagery showing the little dog in the same kinds of imagery as Che. A Communist, murderer, and enemy of freedom, democracy and the United States. What product would intentionally use images of a murderer as the symbol of their product? The main steam media does this because it is filled with leftists, anti-establishment types, people who lead aberrant sexual lifestyles and others who are outside the main steam of American life. People who don't get married, work hard, have a couple kids, and stay married while respecting our institutions, and worshipping God. The very things that our middle class does and that have made the middle class the backbone of America and the envy of the rest of the world. So the main stream markets evil to us. In commercials, in TV shows, on bill boards, in the news, at every opportunity they try and make traditional values look bad. Catholic priests have been subjected to slander and scandal for years. They are accused of being a bunch of child molesters, and every comedian, talk show host, and news anchor takes his turn blasting the church. What they don't tell you is pubic school teachers molest children at a higher rate than priests, it is covered up even more frequently and yet, this is almost never mentioned. Why, because public school teachers are one of the hero's of the left. We are always told they are underpaid, over worked, their retirements are too small. In California, public school teachers make much more money than private school teachers, and have better retirements. In fact, public school teachers make much more money than the average tax payer who is paying their salaries. So the media won't put things in context, they will simply give you the liberal spin; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Robots In Space

http://www.nasa.gov/topics/technology/features/robonaut.html NASA is sending a robot into space. It is about the same size and a bit heavier than a person. I am glad that they are sending the robot into space. America needs to be on the cutting edge of technologies. We should also still be sending rockets into space to launch our own Astronauts. President Obama wants to privatize space, and I am all for that. What I am not for is having to rely on foreign companies or nations to send our payloads into space. In the event of a major war the US does not need to rely on Russia or India to send radars or cameras or Astronauts into space to watch Iran or North Korea. We should continue to have US Government programs to launch into orbit until US companies can perform the task frequently, safely and reliably; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Sexy Seven Year Olds?

Padded Bikinis for Seven-Year-Old Girls Pulled By British Retailer Primark After Controversy - StyleList As part of the continued fall of Western culture, a British retailer has been selling padded bikinis for seven year old girls. In the 1960's we were told that divorce was okay and it was not natural for couples to stay together forever. We were told that it was better for the children than to have two parents stay together, just to raise the kids. In the 1970's we were told that it was okay for couples to live together, without being married to each other. We were told that people could stay together forever without benefit of the church being involved with a marriage. By the 1980's we were told it was okay for women to have children without a husband. It was okay for single women to intentionally get pregnant have raise children on their own. The 1990's saw us being told that a couple could be of the same sex. Forget thousands of years of tradition, church teaching and the experience of every major civilization in all time. We know better now. The new century we are being told that it is okay to have sex with children. We are seeing religious leaders, teachers and others all having sex with children. Now even stores are selling sexual clothing for children. The decline continues; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Investigate Employers

http://m.statesman.com/statesman/pm_23035/contentdetail.htm;jsessionid=02D625FC3B8981D586F67AD475110EE7?contentguid=2WsyHdcG The Obama administration is out to investigate companies that hire interns. They want to be sure that companies are paying their interns. Naturally, the Obama administration wants to do whatever it can to insure high unemployment. At least that's what seems to be happening. If I own a company and I have to pay interns who have very limited job skills, then I am not going to have interns. One of the values of interns is that they don't cost anything. Must of what they do is "make work" or work that is so low priority that it won't get done otherwise. Companies always have more work to do than they will ever get done. Sometimes that work can be done by a free intern who is gaining valuable experience while performing work that is not really worth paying minimum wage to have done. If companies are now concerned that they have to pay interns, or risk investigations by the labor department, they will stop hiring interns. Rather than harass companies that are putting Americans to work, why doesn't the Obama administration look for companies that are putting illegal aliens to work? There are millions of illegal aliens in the United States and with double digit unemployment figures this is an excellent time to get the illegal workers out of the work force, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

A Real Solution to An Imaginary Crisis

Essay: Too Few Jobs or Too Many? Time Will Tell - AOL News By 2018 there will be so many jobs that we will be begging for people to take them. The main stream media is telling us how good things are going to be, but not how bad things are now. With 12% unemployment we have to make it to 2018 first before we can worry too much about a labor shortage then. They also give us the encouraging word that since we have all had our savings wiped out in the most recent stock market crash, no one will be able to retire. So old people will be able to fill those job openings. What a silver lining! Of course, the real message here is not about old people working, it is about unfilled jobs and a labor shortage. The real message the main stream media wants us to hear is that there are so many jobs Americans can't fill them all. So many jobs that the only solution is a blanket amnesty for all illegal aliens and a fast track to being US citizens. It is the typical liberal agenda. Create a crisis where none exists and then find a solution to the non-existent crisis. We have massive unemployment now. So lets pretend that in the future we might have a labor shortage. How to fill this shortage? Well, grandma could stay in the workforce, or maybe we could just give amnesty to all the illegals who want to come here and work. That will fix that labor shortage crisis, that does not exist; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Space Indians

NASA Radar Finds Ice Deposits at Moon's North Pole; Additional Evidence of Water Activity on Moon NASA is finding more and more evidence that there is water on the Moon. The Obama Administration has killed American manned space flight so it really does not matter so much if there is water there anyway. The NASA radar that found out about this possible water, was riding on a spacecraft made in India. Why is America having to send radars on spacecraft made in India? The USA was the leader in space technology. Now we have to piggy back our radars on spacecraft made in Third World nations. In my lifetime, India was a place where there was famine and disease and not the place where they would be launching spacecraft. I am glad that India has made tremendous progress. Certainly, we would be better to trade more with democratic India, than Communist Red China. My point is this, over the last twenty years our Congress and our Presidents, both Democrats and Republicans have allowed this nation to decline to the point where we are no longer performing manned space missions and where we have to use Russian and Indian spacecraft to carry our gear aloft. That's a terrible statement of how badly we have managed our nation; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Make Assumptions

Alligator Found Swimming With Whales 20 Miles Out to Sea - Asylum.com A fresh water alligator was found by researchers, twenty miles out to sea. They were checking on whales when they discovered the alligator. They think he was swept out to sea by a storm. They wanted to try and bring him back to shore, but since he was huge and their rubber boat was small, they elected to pass. They said he was diving and eating fish. This is so typical of scientists. They make assumptions and they want to jump in and fix it. They ignore the obvious. The alligator was not in distress. He was finding food and eating it. I suspect they found something else. The alligator was eating fish. He was eating lots of fish and as the fish swam out to sea, he followed them. Eventually, he was twenty miles out to sea. An big alligator can probably swim at least two miles per hour. Chasing fish for ten hours, and suddenly he is twenty miles out to sea. No mystery. No storms. No reason to go fooling around with a natural process. Make assumptions, take action; that's what scientists want to do, with alligators and global warming; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

The Mail

Postal Service's Proposal for 5-Day Delivery in the Mail - AOL News The Post Office wants to end delivery of mail on Saturday. For as long as I remember the Post Office uses that as their defense against any attack. We can't raise the rates on mail, then we will have to end Saturday delivery. How about ending their monopoly on first class mail and we will see just how hard it is to deliver mail six days per week? Let anyone deliver mail as long as they deliver mail to every address in a certain region. Say, privatize mail by state. So shipping mail to every address in New York might not be too hard. Shipping mail to every address in Wyoming might just stay the duty of the USPS. The mail should go to every home and business in the nation. It should go there six days per week. That should be the start of any plan in the Post Office. Cutting services is not they way to go. Many companies now have Post Office branches in their stores. Almost every supermarket in my town sells stamps. There are a number of private mail box companies in town that have full service counters that package your items and mail them at the US Post Office for you. Maybe they should close down some more offices and let private companies take over; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

It's the Noose For Them!

Photo Shows US Navy Sinking Pirate Skiff Someone in the Navy may be reading my blog. This should be the headline every day from the waters off Somalia. US Navy sinks pirate ship. The subtext should then read that the captured pirates were dancing the hempen jig after a fair trial. There is no reason for use to continue to reinvent the wheel. Piracy on the high seas has always been a capital offense and there is no reason for that to change. Navies should intercept pirates, sink their ships, give the captured a military tribunal and a quick hanging when found guilty. If nothing else, it saves the expense of caring for prisoners for the next ten or twenty years and then granting them US citizenship when they get out of prison. If they are released to other countries, what's to say that they won't go right back to being pirates again? The world is dependant on international trade. Most trade goes by sea route. The US needs to sell goods overseas to pay our debts and to keep our people employed. Reliable sea routes are essential for commerce to continue. Bypassing the routes used by pirates are not an acceptable option. In an era of scarce energy resources ships need to take the shortest routes from one port to another. The seas should be free of piracy; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Nuclear Iran

Iran ridicules Obama's "cowboy" nuclear strategy - Yahoo! News When President Obama was on the campaign trail he told us he would talk to Iran without pre-conditions. He would sit down and chat with the leaders of Iran and resolve the issue of nuclear weapons. Since he was not George Bush, the Iranians could trust him. They would know he was not a cowboy from Texas out to push them around. Now the Iranians have had elections and they have forcefully put down protests against those election results. They have shown themselves to be the cruel dictators that most of us in the West have always said they were. They have also shown they are not interested in President Obama and have now started using the word "cowboy" in reference to his nuclear policies. They did not want to talk to President Bush because they don't want to give up their nuclear program. They used the excuse that they did not want to meet his conditions to talk. Now that has shown to be a lie, because they don't want to talk to President Obama, even without pre-conditions. The liberals will complain that there is no need for a military option against Iran until all other avenues are exhausted. They will put on sanctions and threaten and yet it will not stop Iran. The day Iran finally gets nuclear weapons, the liberals will say, we can't attack them now, they have nuclear weapons. Just like in North Korea talks will continue and so will the Iranian nuclear program, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Happy Cinco De Mayo

Los Angeles Set to Run Out of Cash on May 5 - DailyFinance How appropriate that Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa will take the city of Los Angeles into the Third World on Cinco de Mayo, May 5, 2010. On that date the city is expected to run out of money. There will be no cash for payroll, no money for utilities, and no money to pay to fix the streets. The city will be broke. The city expected millions from the Department of Water and Power, but they did not get a massive rate increase and so the money did not flow in like they expected. The city has already had to make some minor trims, I won't dignify them with the term "cuts," in the budget. They really need to eliminate programs and lay off thousands of workers to balance their budget. The city won't do that, they are in the pocket of the public employee unions. They would rather see the city go bankrupt than cut one worker or reduce pay or benefits to public employees. When the unemployment rate in Los Angeles is at over 12% you would think the public employees could have their pay cut by 12% to help those who work in the private sector reduce their tax burden. Well, maybe the State or Federal government can bail them out, oh, wait, they don't have any money either; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Radical Islam and Radical Media

Blast derails train in Russia - CNN.com Radical Muslim terrorists derail a train in Russia. That's the real headline. The CNN version makes it seem like some kind of industrial accident or mystery bomb. There is no mystery about the nature of the explosion. The mystery is why does CNN and the other main stream media continue to pretend that Radical Muslim extremists are at war with the West? Each of these various attacks is reported as if it is unrelated to any of the other attacks. When the US was attacked on 9/11 it was simply a continuation of all the other attacks that have been made against the West and against all other non-Muslim nations in the last 1,400 years. Radical Islam has always been spread by the sword and they continue to use that method today. The only real difference is the rest of the world acts surprised every time these attacks happen. They think that the US is responsible or in a recent article the media blamed Russia and their harsh handling of the Muslim extremists as the reason for these attacks. The harsh handling is a result of the attacks, not the cause of them. The harsh handling is nothing compared to how Muslims were oppressed under the old Soviet system. Chechnya Is Our Fight Too

Russia's Medvedev promises 'crueler' measures - Yahoo! News Russia has been fighting "Chechen separatists" for years. Our main stream media naturally makes them seem as if they are simply freedom loving people who want Independence from Moscow after the fall of the Soviet Union. What they seldom tell you is they are Radical Muslims who want to establish Sharia law. The fight against them has been our fight and yet American and Western politicians fail to provide any support to Russia in this struggle. Russia has borne this burden without our help. I have always said that we need to support Russia in their efforts to keep Chechnya in their country. Now it has become clearer that the so called Chechen separatists are in fact trying to establish a regional radical Islamic state. The War Against Radical Islam is a transnational war. Radical Islam does not recognize the nation states of the non-Muslim world. They are looking to establish a world wide Radical Islamic government. All Christians and Jews will be second class citizens and all others will be dead under such a system. Women will be oppressed as they are in all Radical Islamic nations now. Not a vision I look forward to seeing come true, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Aliens

FOXNews.com - When E.T. Comes Calling, What Will You Say? In most of human history it has not worked out well when advanced civilizations have contacted less advanced people. When the Aztecs marched out from their cities they conquered their neighbors who are less advanced and less organized then they were. Then the Spanish Conquistadors arrived and wiped out the Aztec civilization. It has generally been that way, the less advanced group is nearly always taken over by the more advanced group. If there is another civilization in space, and there are many people who think that is true, I would be concerned about the human place in the universe. The Third World nations are dominated by those of the First World. If not politically, then economically or socially. Do we really want to have more advanced aliens coming to Earth? We like to pretend this will be a new and glorious age for man, but will it really be so? They could come to destroy or enslave us. They could come to take our resources. Perhaps they will take resources we don't know are valuable because they use if for something we don't know how to do yet. We have enough problems with illegal aliens coming across our southern border. We don't need them to rain down on us from the sky's too, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Detroit City

http://www.lewrockwell.com/north/north828.html The city of Detroit used to be an industrial powerhouse. It used to be that they were Motor City, the car capital of the world. The entire world looked to Detroit and envied what they could do there to make automobiles and create a terrific middle class standard of living. Now it's all gone. Greed and corruption killed the city. Corporate bosses made cars that came with a special feature, planned obsolesces. The car would fall apart in a few years so that the consumer was forced to buy a replacement vehicle. The corporate bosses failed to watch and respond to national and world events, and we the public wanted more fuel efficient cars, Detroit automakers failed to deliver them, but Japanese car companies listened to both quality and fuel economy. Unions ignored the need for for industrial investment in new plant and new products and new technology. They only saw that automakers were making a lot of money and they wanted it for themselves. So as Japan was building cars with robots, and investing money in new technologies, the unions were threatening strikes unless they got more money, more benefits for an ever decreasing workforce. Now all those good jobs are gone, few cars are even made in Detroit anymore. High taxes, and regulations pushed out the few remaining businesses. Now you can buy a house in Detroit for as little as $9,000.00. You can't even buy a car for that much. Everyone has moved out of town and the price of real estate has dropped to nothing. Corporate greed, union greed, and government corruption and mis-management have killed the golden goose of the automobile manufacturing world. All three need to take responsibility and work to fix the problem, or Detroit will be the future of us all, as goes GM, so goes the nation; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Prisoners Released Early

http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2010/03/30/Calif-group-fights-inmate-release-plan/UPI-38141269995888/ The California state legislature determined that they could release a few thousand inmates and save a billion dollars. They told us they would only release non-violent inmates and that we would have nothing to worry about. Now it seems they sold us a bill of goods. A recent survey showed that California jails are releasing all kinds of inmates. Sex offenders, violent criminals, even those accused of gun offenses and violence against children and seniors are being let out early. Nearly every time an initiative is proposed for tougher sentences, the people of California vote overwhelmingly in favor of it. The people of California want criminals to spend time in prison. With the enactment of the three strikes law the people have said they want criminals to serve long prison sentences. Rather than follow the will of the people the legislature is allowing the release of dangerous criminals, some have even been re-arrested for violent crimes! As is too often the case, the Legislature is opposed to the will of the people. They raise taxes when the people want lower taxes. They fail to fund the death penalty, when the people clearly want executions of dangerous murderous criminals. They fail to reduce spending when there is no money lest and people are asking for cuts in spending. Everyone of the California legislature needs to be turned out at the next election; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
