http://www.correctionsone.com/news/2010294-Terrible-Tommy-spends-27-years-in-Colo-SHU/ A criminal has been in SuperMax prison for 27 years. His friends and relatives are campaigning to get him out of solitary confinement. They say he is not a bad man, he has changed, he does not deserve this punishment, it is cruel and inhuman to keep him all alone like this for decades. He sits in his cell most of the time doing needle crafts and reading and watching black and white television. They are correct in that he should not be spending 27 years in a SuperMax prison. He should be dead; executed by the state for his crimes. Some may say that SuperMax prison is a fate worse than death, if that were true, all the prisoners would be trying to kill themselves. Life is better than death, and some people deserve death. This criminal was convicted of murder, then the conviction was overturned, but he has killed three more people since then. His last victim was a prison guard. Prison guards don't deserve to have people like this in the general prison population. Any prisoner who kills a prison guard should be put to death, and right away. Prison guard is a terrible job and prisoners who kill guards don't deserve to live; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www1.voanews.com/english/news/NATO-to-Add-to-Police-and-Army-Trainers-in-Afghanistan-85042052.html Our weak kneed allies in NATO are tiring of the fight and want to go home. They were only lukewarm to the idea of fighting Radical Islam and continue to fail to meet their troop deployment commitments. They have large Radical Muslim populations at home and they don't want to upset them into action against them. The United States must maintain a large military and cannot rely on allies to fight when their immediate national interests are not directly threatened. Too many fail to see the danger posed by Radical Islam and so they are ready to try and appease them. They think that they are like the Soviet Union and that if you just leave the alone, maybe they will fall apart on their own. Radical Islam has spread it's ideology with the sword from the beginning. Even today, there are few converts to Islam. Nearly all growth in Islam is due to their very high birth rate. This has been a disaster in Western Europe were many Islamic radicals hope to conquer Europe by simply out breeding their secular and Christian Frenchmen, Germans and Englishmen; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Commercial Jet Pack Finally Real, Retails for $75K Okay, I told my wife what I want my next "car" to be. I'll take a jet pack please. This new offering by Martin is a great machine. It has a speed of sixty miles per hour and will run for about thirty minutes. I think I will wait a few years until they get the range up, I don't want to have to stop for gas every time I drive, or fly to work. This is the kind of innovative technology that we need to make our cities work and our industries hum. Imagine, tens of thousands of jet packs in everyday use in our cities. People taking short hops to the grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store to pick up a few items. Just land in a corner of the parking lot and then take off for home. This could unclog our crowded streets and roadways. The jet pack does not require a pilots license, and so after a little training, off you go into the wide blue yonder. This would be great for police and fire departments to use to rescue people off of roof tops where a helicopter could not reach. A few quick hops to pick up one passenger each time and in a few minutes you could evacuate a dozen people. This is a great idea, I hope they sell a million; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

DOJ review finds no misconduct by memo authors (OneNewsNow.com) The Department of Justice has found no misconduct in the memos written to approve enhanced interrogation techniques to be used against our enemies. While our enemies intentionally blow themselves up for the chance to murder children, we spend years fretting over memos. Our enemies in this war are not soldiers. They are covered under the Geneva Conventions, they are defined as illegal combatants. Illegal combatants are not regular soldiers. Illegal combatants are not given the rights of lawful combatants. One of the reasons to function as a lawful combatant is to preserve the rights given to lawful combatants. An illegal combatant does not enjoy the same rights of lawful combatants who have been captured. Lawful combatants are classified as prisoners of war when they are captured and are entitled to certain rights and privileges. Illegal combatants are not entitled to those same rights, and we should not give them those rights. This is especially as our soldiers when captured are typically tortured and executed; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/feb/22/national-parks-will-open-gates-to-holders-of-conce//print/ The National Park Service is opening up parks to holders of concealed weapons permits. Most Federal Lands conform to the local laws of the state they are in. This makes the most sense, allow each state to control their firearms laws and then have those Federal lands within the state match the states laws. Concealed weapons permit holders commit very few crimes and even fewer that are firearms related. The are generally just regular people who want a firearm to protect themselves. The criminal element does not get a permit to carry a gun. In fact, most felons are prohibited from owning or carrying guns in most states. It is the criminals that should not have guns. Preventing concealed weapons holders from taking their guns into parks was simply foolish and wrong. Many times every year criminals are stopped from continuing their crimes by a concealed weapons permit holder. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100223/ts_nm/us_somalia_piracy The US Navy rescued a ship under attack by pirates. They even captured the pirates after they shot across their bow and the pirates surrendered. Shot across the bow? How about blew the bow off their boat and sank it? This is part of the problem. There is no down side for the pirates. Live in some rat hole in Somalia or become a pirate. As a pirate you get rich from taking a treasure ship, or you get captured by a Western Navy. Getting captured by a Western Navy is almost as good as getting rich for a Somalian pirate. Free and unlimited food. Religious freedom. Free and excellent health care. Safety from attack. Probably television and recreation too. Being a prisoner of the US Navy is gotta be better than living in Somalia. Pirate ships should be sunk and any crew members that survive rescued for the hanging; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Space.com : Spaceplane That Acts Like an Airplane The UK has given a grant to a company working on an engine for a space plane. Giving prizes for development of technology is a great idea and one that has been around for a long time. The race for space needs to be jump started. President Obama has tried to kill the American space program. The space program in the US is very popular and the amount of money that we spend on space it tiny. The budget for NASA is less than one percent of the Federal budget. The space program is used for national defense and to help predict the weather and farming. The value returned for the investment is tremendous. The space program needs to follow the path of the previous Federal government programs. The Wright Brothers were selling planes to the US Army very early on. The Federal government has always explored new areas, the Lewis & Clark Expedition was designed to explore new territory so settlers could move in later. Exploration of space is the job of the Federal government, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Arizona Teacher Adds Etiquette to Lessons - AOL News In a public school, a teacher is teaching etiquette to all the kids in his class. Naturally, this is not an official part of the school curriculum. The classes seem to be working well with the kids behaving better in the classroom that they were at the beginning of the school year. The parents like the program and even the kids say they like the results. Naturally the principal has no plans to add this to any of the other classrooms. There is no plan to add this etiquette training to any other schools in the district. There is no plan to begin teaching etiquette anywhere else in the nation. Just because the program does not cost any money, and takes no special training, and does not take the place of any other learning, so naturally this does not appeal to the education establishment. When I was a kid, we were always taught etiquette in class. We had to act in a manner that was respectful to everyone. We were taught to raise our hands before we spoke. We were not permitted to speak disrespectfully to others or swear. It's too bad these skills are now so rarely taught in school that it seems special; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

New Nukes? A Three Mile Island 'Survivor' Says Not So Fast -- Politics Daily President Obama called for more nuclear power plants to be built in the United States. I support that idea and think it is been far too long since atomic energy has been used in new power plants in the US. I think he really just placed this as a straw man to be torn down, and not as a serious idea. Already his minions in the main stream media have fallen in line and are calling for a halt to any plans to build nuclear power plants. The media thinks it is fine for North Korea and Iran to have nuclear power plants, but not the United States. The media trots out some "survivor" of a nuclear disaster at Three Mile Island. A disaster? More people were killed in Senator Kennedy's car than at Three Mile Island. Nuclear power is very safe, but like everything their are risks involved. Just because 4o,000 Americans are killed in auto accidents every year does not mean we stop driving cars. It means the value of the automobile is so great that we accept those deaths in return for what the car gives to us as a nation. Every form of power we use will result in the death of people. The pollution of fossil fuels causes thousands of people to get sick and probably causes thousands of premature deaths every year. People die when gasoline refineries blow up and catch on fire. People die when coal mines collapse, and when train loads of coal jump the track or hit a car on the crossing. Nuclear power is safe, as safe as anything else we do in the modern world; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/InfidelsAreCool/~3/pFQhOK0EIeg/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email Five percent of the people of Switzerland are Muslims. When nations get about five percent Muslim the specter of Sharia Law suddenly raises it's ugly head. The free people of Switzerland have taken a giant step away from that by voting for a law that bans the construction of minarets. The Swiss flag shows a cross in the center. The Swiss have always been a Christian people and now because of irresponsible immigration policies they have allowed too many non-Christian people into their nation. Now they are beginning to have the same kinds of problems other nations with radical Muslim populations are having. Radical Muslims do not integrate into society, they want society to change to accommodate their beliefs, and to permit them to take over the society. The Swiss did the right thing to begin to limit the power or Radical Islam to want to move into Switzerland, we can hope others will emulate their example, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

GOPUSA - The Loft A conservative Republican is running against John McCain. I hope he wins in his fight to unseat John McCain. There are several reasons why he needs to go. The first reason is that Senators should not serve more than two terms. They should not become lifetime politicians with jobs until they die. Teddy Kennedy served for nearly half a century and did essentially nothing of lasting value for the nation. John McCain is far too liberal. He is not only too liberal, but he has used his liberal ideas against the wishes of the majority of other Republicans in the Senate. He cooperated with Democrats on many occasions. He cares more about the collegiate nature of the Senate than the partisan principles that got him elected. The Republican Party has failed to provide leadership that can inspire and stay true to the conservative platform of the party. The Republicans need to be re-energized by the addition of new men and women who will vote in accordance to the principles of conservatism, not another tired old career politician; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Kim Strassel: Cap and Trade Is Dead - WSJ.com For my whole life the left has been trying to destroy American business and industry. It used to be that industry was destroying the planet with pollution. Every day on television were were shown pictures of dead fish floating in some river and a voice over telling us how some company discharged toxins that killed the fish. Then we would see clouds of smoke billowing over a smokestack and how it was killing all the trees. American business was always the bad guys. We never seemed to have seen those kinds of photos from Communist nations. We never saw any environmental damage unless it was American business, or it could be tied back to American companies working overseas. Now the same forces that told us we were doomed if American companies were not all shut down, are telling us that Western businesses, especially American businesses are killing us all by creating global warming. This blame America first crowd always wants business and industry to shut down the most productive, efficient and clean industries in the world to appease their pagan gods. They will do whatever they have to do to convince the rest of us this is all for our own good. They will even falsify information or ignore information to make their point. It is all just another disguise for those who hate freedom, and who hate traditional Western and American values; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Pat Buchanan : Fatal Flaw of Democracies - Townhall.com The Obama Administration is running gigantic deficits. They are planning on continuing to run gigantic deficits. They have no plan that will control those deficits. These deficits are too large to control by rasing taxes. They are too large to control by growning the economy, and the Obama tax increases continue to harm employment, so economic growth is unlikely. The deficits are too large to control by any way, other than hyperinflation. The Obama Administration is promising health care, and all kinds of goodies to everyone and we all know that government never eliminates any program. That means the Obama Administration will continue to spend, continue to run huge deficits and eventually the government will take up such a large percentage of the investment money that interest rates will rise, and the cost of money will go up. Huge inflation will be a terrible thing, and it will endanger both our economy and our liberty; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing...

Is Obama Appointee Harry Knox an 'Anti-Catholic Bigot'? -- Politics Daily Harry Knox makes anti-Catholic statements and as usual the media generally ignores it. Years ago, Republican Vice-president Quale mis-spells potato and we hear about it for almost two decades later. The liberal bias of the news media is so bad that when there is a real problem, they just ignore it. The main stream media have been on an anti-Catholic campaign for decades. They make movies like Sin City with a Catholic bishop as the evil one. When was the last time we saw a major Hollywood motion picture with an Islamic bad guy? We don't see that because Hollywood and the main stream media are not trying to destroy the political power and influence of the Muslims in the USA. The media take scandals that effect the Catholic church and magnify them out of proportion. They report incidents that happened ten, twenty or even fifty years ago as if they happened recently. The media then ignores attacks on the church; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

3 Dead in Shooting at University of Alabama-Huntsville - AOL News Once again a gun free zone protects only the suspect, not the victims. How many must die because we refuse people the right to protect themselves? This killer brought a gun into a place were guns are not permitted, so obviously they intended harm. The victims were just that, victims. Victims of the killer and victims of a state that thinks it is morally superior to die than to defend yourself from attack. Victims of a school that tries to take shortcuts to safety rather than provide real safety to their employees or visitors or students. The only way a gun free zone works is if everyone who enters a highly controlled space is searched first and not allowed to bring anything inside the space that could conceal a weapon. This only works in very small spaces that are tightly controlled, like a courtroom or airport waiting room. Even then it only works if there are armed security ready to defend the gun free zone with guns. Making an open college campus a gun free zone has not worked to prevent gun violence, it only makes liberal administrators and legislators feel better, until the next evil act forces reality upon them for a few minutes; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

The Fiqh Council of North America, an affiliate of the Islamic Society of North America, and the Council on American Islamic Relations have both come out and condemned the use of full body scanners on airline passengers. Well, there goes that plan. Those who sympathize with our enemies have said they don't like the security plans we have begun to implement to protect ourselves from terrorist attack. So now the political correctness crowd will tell us that we can't use these scanners. Or maybe that we can only use them on non-Muslims. We are at war and too many people are dying to not use every weapon at our disposal. Our enemies are cold blooded killers who will intentionally target women and children to forward their goals. The purpose of terror is to make people afraid to do everyday things, like fly on an airplane. To implement a screening system that will detect weapons better than any previous system would be a big advantage in restoring confidence in the air travelling public. That is exactly what our enemies don't want to happen, all the more reason to do it, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP2p91dvm6M The US needs more politicians who will stand up for traditional values. The US, and many of our states are on the verge of falling apart. The economy is terrible. We have spent trillions of dollars we don't have and we have no idea how we will pay the money back. My suspicion is that the Obama Administration will figure out a way to pay back the money. The will do it with a combination of massive tax increases and massive inflation. If the government owes trillions, what better way to pay it off by devaluing the currency and making trillions worth nothing? Inflation is a good way for governments to pay off debt, but it leaves a terrible price on the population and business. People have the value of their savings destroyed, people on fixed incomes have the value of their retirements destroyed. Businesses find their high prices prevent exports. Inflation is not the way for the government to solve their problems, tax cuts and spending cuts are; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

email@example.com The Russians have been helping the Iranians to work towards their goal of gaining nuclear weapons. I doubt the Russians actually want the Iranians to have nuclear weapons, but they do want influence in the region. With the US in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Persian Gulf, Egypt and many other parts of North Africa and Middle East, they are having a hard time trying to balance that Western Power with their own. The problem is the Russians may have found themselves in the same place as many in the West during the Cold War. Many businesses did not want the Communists to win the Cold War, but they were not above making a buck off of them. The Russians are making money off of Iran, hoping to make the Iranians their allies, while they can. The Russians and the West don't realize the common enemy is Radical Islam. They are slammed by us for their actions in fighting Radical Islam in Chechnya. They slam us whenever we try and force Iran to stop their nuclear programs. The West and Russia should move closer together and realize that we are logical allies, not logical enemies, Catholic and Orthodox Christianity must work together to fight Radical Islam, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Homosexuality in Uniform: Is It Time? First Things The Obama Administration ants to allow homosexuals to serve openly in the US military. He even has had an admiral testify that it would not be a problem. Many of us question the idea of having a Commander-in-Chief who has never served in the military. This is one of many reasons why I oppose having a president who has never served. Rather than have a admiral testify to what having homosexuals serve openly in the military, we should have the Sargent Majors and Master Chiefs testify to Congress about the idea. They are in tune with the troops. They speak to the troops one on one every day and they know that the troops don't want this to happen. The military is there to protect the nation, and the citizens of the United States. The military is not a social experiment. The Armed Forces of the United States are not a plaything for liberal experimentation. This is a very poor idea; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2009/0926/p02s08-usgn.html At least twenty one terrorist attacks have been stopped before they happened here in the United States. That is in addition to the few that have actually taken place here. The US is at war and as much as the liberals want to pretend this is strictly a law enforcement problem, they are wrong. There are millions of Radical Muslims in the world who want to bring death to Americans. They are trying everything they can to come here and kill Americans. We cannot put tens of millions of people in jail or even give them civilian trials. This is a war and our policies must treat it like a real war. There are still many things we can do to protect ourselves. We must increase our human intelligences sources, our spies. We must allow more citizens to carry firearms legally. We must stop our huge deficit spending so that we have the resources to continue to fight the enemy. We must use our media to inform people of the many dangerous enemies there are in the world; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://blogs.laweekly.com/ladaily/city-news/early-release-rape/ The educated fools who run the California state government determined that it would be okay to release criminals from prison to safe money. One prisoner has already been released and within less than a day he is back in jail. He attempted to rape someone. So now the question becomes, how much money are we really saving by this early release program? This criminal will have to be tried and presumably go back to prison. So the savings of one day out of prison will not be made up by the millions we will have to spend to prosecute and defend him and then put him back in prison. This says nothing about the horrible trauma of the victim. The victim was kidnapped, and there was a whole litany of evil sex crimes committed against this victim. What is that worth to the state legislature? Everyone one of those legislators who run for re-election should have advertisements run with this victims face on them. The ads should say that "This official voted to release the criminal who raped me," vote for the other guy; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Brain Scans Let Vegetative Patients 'Talk' to Researchers Now it seems that modern medical science is proving what those of us in the right to life movement have always believed. That just because someone is in a vegetative state does not mean that they are not alive and well inside a body that is crumbling. Scientists have done brain scans on some patients and shown that their brains react the same way as healthy people are able to react when asked questions. They have even been able to ask the patients simple questions and gotten answers back from the patient by having them think about certain topics. As the patient thinks about different topics in response to the questioning it is apparent they are understanding the questions and making proper responses. Even the ancient Greeks understood the role of medicine when they wrote, "First, do no harm" as the creed of doctors. Rather today our doctors participate in assisted suicide, murder, capital punishment and abortions. Hardly the standard for a Christian nation, one even the pagan Greeks would have not approved; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

City officials under attack for pro-Christian comments (OneNewsNow.com) City officials have said that their cities are Christian communities. The First Amendment of the United States Constitution permits speech, even speech that some may find offensive. Some people either don't know this or don't seem to care about this legal protection. Rather, they are not merely speaking out in opposition to these words, they are actually trying to bring charges against them. The whole idea of a First Amendment is to permit the free market of ideas to determine what people will say or not say. We don't need lawyers and hate speech laws to determine if people should be saying one thing or another. Good ideas will continue and bad ideas will be dropped. Political correctness does not further the goals of democracy. People are best served when they can speak their minds without fear of lawsuits, intimidation, or oppression. Even speech that others may find offensive or rude, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.scientificamerican.com/blog/60-second-science/post.cfm?id=speculation-about-nasas-future-swir-2010-01-29&sc=DD_20100201 I sometimes see a liberal bumper sticker "Think globally, act locally." Foolish people who think that there is nothing special, unique, or yes, better about the United States of America than most other nations. They see the Earth as one whole and if it is good for Uganda, or Bangladesh, then it is just fine with us. I don't see things that way. When Haiti suffered a huge earthquake, it was not China and Sudan that rushed to their aid. It was the United States. We have been the leaders in so many areas in the last century. One of those areas was outer space. The US was the first nation to put a man on the Moon. No President Obama has submitted a budget that will destroy the American manned space program. With a proud legacy of space exploration unmatched by any other nation, we are throwing it all away because the President want to spend more money on more stimulus packages that don't work. Maybe North Korea or Iran will send someone to space instead; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

President Obama spoke recently and told of the higher calling of working in the public sector. He cited the low pay as one reason it was such a honorable type of work. Really? Here in California public school teachers and police typically make far less than teachers in private schools or private security guards. They also get fantastic retirements compared to their opposite numbers in the private sector. The lower paid private sector people are also paying for the higher paid government workers. Public service jobs are a high calling. Police, firemen, soldiers, sailors are all jobs that should done by people who are there, not for the money, but because they have a calling to serve their fellow man. They are risking their lives for the rest of us, they are facing danger that no amount of money can compensate. They should be paid a decent wage, but not an exorbitant wage. Other public sector jobs are more mundane and are not a higher calling. Just because someone works for the Government Services Administration as a plumber does not make them something special versus a private sector plumber. And certainly self serving career politicians who have never held a "real job" are not all that special either; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

harmonicminer The Obama Administration wants to give tax credits to certain small businesses who hire new employees. Why do we have to target every little things? Why can't we simply cut taxes to everyone, so anyone with extra money will be able to hire someone if they need an employee? Why can't we simply let people keep more of their own money so they can continue to keep the employees they have now? President Obama wants to target the give ways of tax credits because it leave power in Washington. It allows the government to give people money for doing what the government wants them to do. The government knows what's good for you, so the government will reward you for doing what they want you to do. Rather than spend trillions of dollars to stimulate the economy, the government must cut taxes and let people spend their own money. These stimulus dollars will become permanent spending and we will never get out of debt. President Obama has proposed a gigantic new budget, all the while claiming to freeze expenses. Rather than a freeze, why not a roll back? No roll back because money is power and President Obama never wants to give up power' that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.stratfor.com/weekly/20091116_postsept_11_legal_dilemma?utm_source=GWeekly&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=091116&utm_content=textversion2 Khalid Sheikh Mohammed may be tried in federal court in New York City. This is such a bad idea on so many levels. Unlawful combatants should never be tried in civilian courts. They have no right to the rights of American citizens. Citizenship conveys rights upon the people of a nation. People captured on the battlefield, conducting combat operations are not lawful combatants and entitled to the rights afforded to soldiers under the Geneva Conventions. Unlawful combatants are only entitled to the very limited human rights afforded to unlawful combatants under the Geneva Conventions. They are not entitled to the rights provided to American citizens. Citizens of the United States are entitled to a might host of rights, that are afforded to the citizens of most other nations. To give these rights to unlawful combatants, is not legally required, and is morally wrong. We enter into conventions with other nations to secure the rights of our citizens when they are conducting legitimate combat operations as lawful combatants. There are many rights afforded to legitimate combatants and even they are not entitled to the rights afforded to American citizens. This decision by the US Justice Department is just wrong; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Obama Administration to Triple Loan Guarantees for Nuclear Plant Construction - BloggingStocks I live rather close to a nuclear power plant, and I don't mind at all. In the 1950's they told us that nuclear power would generate electricity that would be so inexpensive, there would be no reason to meter it. Simply pay a flat monthly connection fee and use all the electricity you want. Then the liberals and environmentalists and other useful idiots of the Soviet Union came along and forced the US to stop nuclear power plant construction. They knew it was one more way to damage the economy of the United States. Now President Obama says he wants to build more nuclear power plants to help our nation be more "green." I certainly hope that it is the case that he will use his good offices to get nuclear power plants back under construction in the United States. We should have never stopped building nuclear power plants. Our Radical Islamist enemies gain power by the huge sums of money we spend on oil purchased from Muslim nations. This is one way to diminish that requirement. I suspect that three years from now there will not actually be any new nuclear power plant construction. The real obstacle now is not the money, it is the lawsuits. President Obama is too much of a friend to the trial lawyers to let his desire for nuclear power to get in their way, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
