Bring Me Your Tired, HIV Positive Masses

Obama to Lift HIV/AIDS Travel Ban There are not enough people in the United States with HIV or AIDS so President Obama has taken steps to eliminate this shortage. The travel ban against people with HIV/AIDS has been lifted so that people with these conditions can come here. Medicine should be practiced by medical professionals. People with infectious, deadly diseases should not be allowed to enter the United States. HIV/AIDS is treated as a political opinion, not as a deadly infectious disease. Every rational, typical medical procedure is tossed aside and rather than making medical decisions based on medical information, they are made on a political basis. People with tuberculous will not be allowed entry into the United States because they don't have a loud political group urging that they be permitted to enter the United States. The United States has millions of people without health insurance, and now we are going to further stress the system by bringing in more people with severe diseases that are difficult and expensive to treat. Don't let sick people into the country, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Nativity Okay

John Satawa Files Lawsuit to Return Nativity Scene to Public Land A community has had a Nativity scene on a roadway center divider for decades, but now has denied permission to return it for this Christmas. Since 85% of the people self identify as Christians, why can't those Christian taxpayers have a Nativity scene on the roadway they pay for with their taxes? It is the classic case of the tail wagging the dog. A small, vocal minority is "offended" because they see a Nativity scene. Then they go around and get it removed from the public square. Our Constitution does not have a separation of church and state phrase in it. There is no legal requirement to keep the Church out of the public square. The Federal government is not permitted to have religious tests for holding office or voting. There is not supposed to be a state sponsored church. That does not mean that churches and religion have less protection than other groups that might use public facilities; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Gene and Actions

Weird Car News A new study shows that people with a certain gene can't drive well. Research often says that certain genes create one problem or another. Then people try and use this information to their advantage. I have a gene that makes me drive badly so when I crash my car, it's not my fault. Yet, try and interject some added responsibility, and these same people run from it. If you have a certain gene that makes you drive badly, then you have to pay higher car insurance rates. No, that's unfair. Individual responsibility requires that we each take responsibility for our own actions. If you have a gene that causes a problem or creates a predisposition for alcoholism or other problem, then you have a special burden to make sure that you act responsibly. We each have our own cross to bear, but it does not provide us an excuse to act badly; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No Illegal Citizens

I was listening to the radio news this morning and the announcer said, California could lose as many as five congressional seats if the next census only counts "legal citizens." So the main stream media is trying to scare us that California could lose representation and trying to muddy the citizenship waters at the same time. Tens of thousands have fled the high crime, high taxes, extreme gun control, and government meddling of the California state government. Now that a census is coming up next year there is a likelihood that it will show fewer people living in California than the last time they did a census. Those people who left for other states with a better job climate and lower taxes and fewer gun controls deserve representation. They don't deserve to be denied representation by some trickery to count illegal aliens as a way to boost California's population numbers. The announcer called them "legal citizens." There is only one kind of citizens, and that is legal ones. Illegals are not citizens and the announcer should not have implied that they are citizens, nor should he be pushing the illegal alien agenda of trying to manipulate the census figures by counting them so they can be represented in Congress. Congress is there to represent "legal citizens," not "illegal aliens;" that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Market Forces Ron Bloom, another one of President Obama's many Czars, has come out against free markets. I wonder what sort of qualifications you have to have to be a Czar of manufacturing? It would seem to me if you are in charge of free markets, you should be in favor of them. Unless perhaps they think of themselves of being like the drug Czar, you are trying to stop drugs, so the Manufacturing Czar is trying to stop manufacturing. I support fair and free trades and fair and free markets. If another country allows our products in, then we should allow their products in the same way. If another country does not allow our products in, then we need to consider the same types of restrictions and taxes as they place on our products. That seems to be fair trade to me. Most of the time when people are free to buy what they want, they will make the right decision. Governments are forcing people to buy compact fluorescent light bulbs. If these bulbs are the right decision then over time people will migrate towards them once they understand the advantages. Right now, there are many disadvantages to them and so markets are saying don't buy them. So the government forces us to use them anyway. That does not sound either fair or free; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No Approval Here

The Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church says: "Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved." There are tens of millions of Roman Catholics in the United States and tens of millions of other Catholics and other people in the US who believe essentially this teaching of the church. Why is it that our President sees fit to continuously promote those who actively participate in activities that are "intrinsically disordered?" The maintenance of a moral society is certainly an important goal for government officials. I have no problem with people who are homosexual. My concern is when they attempt to foist their intrinsically disordered lifestyle on the rest of us as if it were normal. It is against the normal order of things and should not be taught in public schools, or given special legal protections; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

The Traditional Anglican Communion is in contact with the Roman Catholic Church to determine methods where the two can be in communion with one another. One of the issues that have forced this issue is the ordination of woman as priests. The TAC does not endorse the ordination of women to the priesthood. We look to the words and actions of Jesus as recorded in the Bible to guide us along with Church tradition. He selected 12 men and when Judas was replaced, he picked another man. Despite having many good women to pick from, he picked only men. Actions speak louder than words as they say. For 2,000 years all Catholic Christians have only ordained men until now, why are we smarter or more pious then they were? Most of those who want to ordain women speak only of equality and fairness, and ignore Christian tradition and the Bible. Not everything in life is about fairness and equality. We can't all be professional football players, mothers, Marines, or priests; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No Business In Iran

The Accountability for Business Choices in Iran Act has been proposed in the Congress. The idea is to get those companies that do business with Iranian to disclose that information. Then those companies will have to decide if they would rather do business with a rogue nation that hides nuclear facilities from the UN and is trying to build nuclear weapons to destroy Israel and other Western nations or with the USA. It is one more way to try and put pressure on Iran to stop their nuclear program. Recently they agreed to have their nuclear material sent to Russia and now they are studying the proposal. As usual, they continue to build towards nuclear weapons and the West continues to talk. Just like with North Korea, Iran will someday test a nuclear weapon and the West will act surprised and say it is too late to act, now that they have nuclear weapons. The West too often acts against it's own self interest. There is no reason for North Korea or Iran to have nuclear weapons. The US and the West have no desire to attack either of those nations. I would like nothing more than to forget about both of those nations and let them go about their lawful business in peace. It is when they threaten the West with destruction that they become a problem; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Background Check President Obama has promised more openness and allowing people to know what his administration is doing. In the meantime, his is refusing to release just about any records about his life including his birth certificate. How interesting that his actions don't match his words. But then I suspect that he does not want us to know many of the facts about his life and about his agenda. When I was in the Army I had to fill out a form that told every school I ever went to and every place I ever lived. I had to write down all my relatives and where they lived. I had to tell them about every school that I ever went to also. They wanted copies of all my documents, birth certificate, marriage certificate, school records. All this just to be commissioned as a lowly second lieutenant in the US Army Reserve. They did background checks, sent agents out to my former teachers, friends, relatives, employers and asked about me and my actions during the time I knew them. Seems a lot when the Commander in Chief won't even provide a long form birth certificate; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Bulldoze Our Cities The Obama administration has reached a very sad conclusion. They are saying that some cities are so far gone that large parts of them will have to be bulldozed over and the land returned to nature. They are saying that these cities will never recover their former economic vitality and that we should simply bring in the heavy machines and bulldoze the crumbling remains of these cities. I certainly can understand the necessity of knocking down and recycling old, abandoned buildings that are falling apart and are no longer usable or safe. I can understand cities that need to cut service levels in sparsely populated parts of town were few people still reside. I cannot understand why the Federal government must impose it's will on local communities. If anything they should provide Federal tax cuts to stimulate the local economy and even some Federal monies to fight crime or other common urban problems. What I have great problems with is the tone of the Obama administration. They have given up on American cities. They have given up on the American people. They have given up on our citizens living a better life than their parents. They have awakened from the American Dream, and don't want to try and live it any longer; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Catholic & Anglican

Vatican seeks to lure disaffected Anglicans Traditional Anglicans have been in dialogue with the Vatican for many years. Several years ago the bishops of the Traditional Anglican Communion set a letter to the Vatican as part of that dialog. They got an answer to that letter indicating that the Roman Catholic Church is interested in continued dialog and wants to continue to work together towards Christian unity. There are perhaps a half a million or more Anglicans who are interested in closer relationships with Rome. In the last few decades, the Anglican church and in the USA the Episcopal church have moved away from the traditional Christian values of ordaining only men as priests and only men who are not leading an active homosexual lifestyle. As the liberals have created an environment that is no longer in keeping with historical Christianity, those who keep to traditional values have been forced to act. All over the world, traditional Christians have been looking for options. Some have found bishops from other nations and other continents to continue their worships. Some have broken away and formed splinter groups. Now their may be an even better option; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Dogs and Taxes

YouTube dogs: congressman wants tax breaks for pet owners Dogs cost their owners as much as thousands of dollars a year. Dog owners who fail to take care of their animals can be fined, even go to jail. Now a congressman wants to give tax breaks to dog owners. There is a concern that some dogs are being turned loose or just turned in to shelters because their owners cannot take care of them in this time of economic downturn. If you have a dog it is your responsibility to take care of him for the rest of his natural life. Turning the dog in to a shelter, having him put down, or turning him loose to run wild are not proper options, just because you have had your income go down. There are many things that people can do to cut expenses or take care of the dog. Buy cheaper dog foods, cut out your cable television, or get another job. Dogs are a responsibility. If you have one, you need to care for it. If you cannot care for it, then you need to find someone who can take care of it. Sell it, give it away to a good family, get help from animal rescue people who can help you care for it. Don't ask the taxpayers for a tax break; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Be Prepared

In Southern California there are many possible dangers. Earthquakes are the most obvious, but I also live in a flood plain, and we have had urban unrest here several times in my lifetime. As a result, I have been planning my survival plan. I figure the worst case scenario is a major earthquake, followed by a tsunami, and then urban unrest for a time afterwards. My survival plan calls for being able to support my family of my wife and myself for ninety days after the incident. With a major earthquake the aqueducts that carry much of our water to us here in Southern California could be destroyed and out of commission for an extended period of time. That means storing enough water for two people for that long. We get water delivered to our home and we are building up a backlog of about 20 of them for our emergency water supply. Every year I try and harden the target of my home to intruders. I add or upgrade locks. I have replaced single pane windows with more difficult to break double pane windows. I have added stronger doors and even had one window replaced with glass blocks. I have been training my wife and daughter how to respond to the incidents and what to do to stay safe. Personal responsibility is part of the Hysterical Right Wing.

Traffic Safety

AOL Autos - Research, Find and Buy New Cars and Used Cars The research on cars has shown that vehicles are significantly safer than they they were 50 years ago. There were almost as many people killed in traffic collisions then as now, but with over twice the population and driving so much more now the deaths per mile travelled are much reduced. There is still much to do in several areas. Cars still need to be safer. They need to have better crash cages so that people cannot be crushed inside the car under almost any circumstances. A car crashing into a tree or a big truck running into a car should not destroy the passenger compartment. We need to control illegal immigration better. A large number of people who come to this country illegally still drive here and they typically drive very badly. If our local police could enforce immigration laws then they could arrest illegal alien drivers who have no drivers license, and then deport them. Our laws against driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs need to be even more strict. Drunk drivers still kill a disproportionate number of people on the roads and if someone is still drinking and driving then they need to go to jail for a while. They also should have their driver licence revoked for years, without exceptions for work or school or reasons; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Taxes Are Too High

These Are Not Negotiable This links speaks of a list of rights that the writer feels are not negotiable. That at sometime the infringement of our liberties will become so great that they can no longer be tolerated by citizens of the republic. He raises a series of interesting questions, primarily, what would it take for you as a citizen of this nation to feel that you are no longer a part of this state? The government has taken an every increasing slice of our incomes as taxes nearly every year of my life. How much to they have to take before it is too much? How much to they have to take before you just don't have enough left to pay your bills? In California we have had the year of the largest tax increases ever, and now we pay the highest state taxes in the nation. Despite this huge tax burden, our state tells us they don't have enough money to pay for those convicted criminals who are already in our prisons. They tell us they don't have enough money to pay our states bills. There are even some in state government who says we are still not taxed enough! Our tax burden is too great. People move out of state because the taxes are so high and the business climate is so poor, and our state government does nothing to solve the problem; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Stock Market & Taxes

The stock market is up to around 10,000 points and that's good news. President Obamas' stimulus package has returned thousands of points to the market. There is still much to do. People are still unemployed, nearly 10% nationwide unemployment, and 12% here in California. The Congress is debating the health care bills and many of them include increased taxes. Any increase in taxes will only drive the markets back down and continue to hammer unemployment rates. Credit is tight, people don't have much disposable income and so adding more taxes will be counter-productive. We used to cut taxes to stimulate spending by the citizens and increase the money in private hands. Now the government spends more money they don't have; restricting credit, and making things harder on the people; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

President Obama is trying to bribe the old people by giving them a cash gift of $250 each. It is being thinly disguised as a special bonus for Social Security recipients. President Obama knows that older Americans are not supporting his health care package. This is simply a way for President Obama to try and bribe older people to support his health care package. I understand that people paid into Social Security trust fund. The Social Security system is broke. There is no trust fund. The Federal government collects the money, places it into the "trust fund" and then borrows it from the fund and spends it for today's operating expenses. While the Federal government claims they are going to pay the money back, there are no funds pay it back. The money has been spent. The money is spent as soon as it is collected to pay out funds to people on Social Security now and the rest is "borrowed" and spent to run the Federal government. People paid into Social Security and we should pay them the money they expected to get. They did not pay into Social Security to get special bonuses. No one paid a little extra one month, expecting a bonus payment at some point. There should not be any bonus paid to Social Security recipients, they did not pay for it, we don't have the money, and it sets a bad example; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Deep Bomb

Pentagon Wants Bunker-Buster 'MOP' Bomb Sooner The US military is working on a new bomb to penetrate and destroy deep bunkers and deep caves. The Islamic enemies of freedom are hiding in deep caves in Afghanistan and Pakistan and deep bunkers in Iran. The Communist enemies of freedom are hiding in deep bunkers in the mountains of North Korea. This weapon is designed to hit those types of targets. The enemies of freedom need to know that they can dig deep bunkers or hide in deep caves and yet still cannot hide from the US military. This is the type of weapon that the US military needs to insure the ability to hit our enemies. This new weapon will be ready as soon as this summer. The Iranians have continued to develop nuclear weapons and to deny not only that they are doing that, but to deny inspections of their facilities. The Iranians have even denied that they have certain facilities until recently. It makes it difficult to trust what they say when they have been lying to us; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Georgia Judge Fines 'Birther' Lawyer Orly Taitz $20,000 -- Politics Daily Many Americans are concerned that President Obama may not be a natural born US citizen. This controversy can be ended immediately by the simple expedient of having President Obama release a certified copy of his long form Hawaiian birth certificate. There are many speculations as to why President Obama does not want to do this. Some think it may be because he is not a natural born citizen of the United States. Some think it may be because he is listed as a Muslim, or that his father's or mother's names may not be what they are generally reported as being, or that he may have his nationality listed as other than American. The main stream media, naturally, do what they can to support the liberal President Obama. The call people names, by referring to "Birther" rather than some other name. The liberal courts don't want to go up against a liberal president so they refuse the case on any manner of weak arguments. I don't know if President Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States. The evidence has not convinced me any way. I do think that the President should simply release the form and end the controversy; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Children Should Be Safe At School

President Obama has appointed Kevin Jennings as the "Safe and Drug Free Schools" czar. Kevin Jennings is the founder of GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network. GLSEN is promoting the affirmation of homosexual behavior in the public schools. There is so much wrong with this appointment. I would think that someone who has a track record in drug prevention and school security might be a good choice. Rather than that, we get a political activist for the gay and lesbian agenda. I don't see any relationship between sexual political activism and keeping children safe in school, or keeping them drug free. Another problem is that children should not be sexualized. The constant drumbeat from liberals for tolerance education for gays is simply another way to sexualize children. Children generally don't need all the details about sex in elementary school. If they as individuals need information, they should turn to the parent, not the school; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Afghanistan? No!

President Obama is failing to send more troops to Afghanistan. In the presidential campaign he said that the US needed to remove troops from Iraq. He said we needed to keep our eye on the ball and focus on the real war in Afghanistan. He said that we needed to stop playing politics with the war and do what needed to be done to win. He even went to NATO and asked them for more combat troops. He said NATO was not doing enough and there was a need for more boots on the ground. NATO applauded politely, thanked him for visiting them and refused to send more troops. Now his own generals are in charge in Afghanistan, and they tell him they need more troops. Apparently, President Obama feels that Vice President Biden is a better strategist than the American generals who want more troops. So President Obama is not sending in the troops his generals have asked him to send to them. Another strategy to prolong the war, lose more American troops for nothing, without achieving victory; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Regulate Blogging?

FTC to Regulate Blogging - Science News Science & Technology Technology News - The Federal Trade Commission is stepping in to regulate blogging. They want bloggers who review products to disclose if they got anything free or not in their reviews. I am so glad the economy is moving along so well that we are able to micro-manage the product reviews of bloggers. I don't trust the Internet to provide me with answers to questions that I can rely upon without some significant verification. When I investigate a product or service, I always check multiple sources, the Internet is just one of them. I take the Internet to be a sort of word of mouth advertising from people I don't actually know. On one my other two blogs I sometimes review products. Sometimes a company gives me a free sample. Sometimes I buy and item at a discount or most often I pay full retail price. Typically, I mention my relationship to the product or at least imply it. The vast majority of my reviews are positive because I don't add books to my library, or models to my collection, or use gear at the police department that I don't want to have. In any case, I would seldom expect anyone to use my review as the definitive review of anything. I certainly don't believe that failing to mention where or how I got the item should rise to the level of a criminal offense; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Hope & Change & Prizes

President Obama has won the Nobel Prize for Peace. This is typical for liberals. Award a prize based on feelings. The prize was not awarded for anything he actually did, other than get elected. Perhaps every President of the United States will get the Peace Prize, since every president gives hope to some facet of our nation. President Teddy Roosevelt got the Nobel Prize. He negotiated a peace treaty between Imperial Russia and Imperial Japan. It was a real war with over 100,000 people killed. Roosevelt used the good offices of the United States to end the war. President Jimmy Carter also got the Nobel Prize. He negotiated the Camp David Accords between the Palestinians and Israelis. That was a real war too, with many thousands killed over the years. While the accords did not bring a lasting peace to the Middle East, there was hope for change in a violent situation. President Obama has been given the Nobel Prize for simply bringing hope and change, but not any actual reason for hope or taking any steps to bring change; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Somali Pirates Attack French Navy Ship La Somme A group of Somali pirated attacked a French Navy ship and half of them were captured. The French ship should have fired on them, sunk their ship and tried and hung them. In the old days, that is how pirates were treated, and after a short while, pirates looked for other work. I can sympathize with poor people living in terrible conditions and international and national groups have sent aid to Somalia. The aid ships are seized by the pirates the they make a profit off the aid to starving people. The pirate problem continues to exist because Western nations refuse to step in and stop it. The lawlessness, crime, disease and starvation continue to exist in Somalia because Western nations refuse to step in and stop it. We have the military might to force the warlords to put down their weapons the return the rule of law to this lawless non-state; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Climate Change or Not

Cooling Down the Cassandras The global warming debate is heating up as the world temperatures are cooling down. The climate of the world changes. Sometimes we have an ice age. Sometimes much of the world is tropical. Continents move around on the surface of the Earth, moving through the hot areas and the cooler areas. Climate change happens. Those who want the governments of the world to do something about global warming seem to ignore those facts of geographic change. They also seem to be more interested in destroying the economies of advanced nations than they are about stopping global warming. I would think that rather than try and stop any climate change, we should simply try and adapt to the change. If seas are going to rise, then we should build sea walls and move to higher ground. If some areas are likely to become desert, perhaps we should better insulate the buildings in those areas, work to desalinate sea water for them to use for irrigation, commercial and residential use. Darwin taught us to adapt to change rather than try and remain the same and die; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Attack From the Left Flank The liberals who run Saturday Night Live have now attacked the most liberal president in our history. They do this, not because of some idea of fairness, but because some liberals are not just liberals, they are ultra leftist, anti-establishment people. They attack President Obama from the left. President Obama has continued the War in Iraq, the War in Afghanistan and failed to close the prison in Guantanamo. He is not conducting the war as a more conservative would do it and he is not using this extra-territorial prison the way it was under the Bush administration. Under his leadership the country has moved to a hard left position. Taxes have been proposed, many dangerous prisoners have been released from Gitmo, and Generals have been denied more troops for the Afghanistan War. President Obama failed to get more troops from NATO and now has failed to send more of his own. As the problems begin to compound, I suspect there will be more liberals attacking their president; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Trust Them Iran moves closer to making nuclear weapons. The Western intelligence services keep putting out warnings and they keep getting ignored. The Democrats have been complaining for years that the US has used unsavory people in their intelligence gathering. Who do you think is involved in plots against the US and our Allies? The US needs to use anyone to try and discover what our enemies are trying to do to attack us. The US needs to bribe people, intimidate people and use all the tactics necessary to keep the people safe at home. In war the single most important thing to do is to win. In war, nations sometimes have to do things that are not pleasant. Liberals believe Iran when they say they are not building nuclear weapons. Liberals don't believe Iran when they say they are planning to destroy their neighbors. It is also not pleasant to have our enemies attack us and kill our people. What should we be willing to do to avoid another 9/11 style attack? Iran has consistently threatened Israel, other Allies and the US. We should take them at their word and act as if they intended to carry out their threats; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Disaster Preparation

If a disaster strikes in your area, do you have a plan? We all remember the tsunami a few years ago, and Hurricane Katrina along the Gulf Coast. Many millions of people were killed, injured or had their homes destroyed or damaged. Can you survive the types of disasters that are likely in your area? We cannot rely on the government to protect us from everything. A big disaster will overwhelm the ability of the government to save everyone. We need to be ready to save ourselves and our loved ones in the event of emergencies. I my lifetime here in Southern California we have had earthquakes, fires, riots, floods and tsunami alerts. The time to get ready is not when you receive a warning on the radio. The time to get ready is now. Stockpile enough water that everyone in your household can survive for at least three days, if not a week. You need enough food and other supplies to last that long too. Can you defend yourself? Can you live outdoors? Can you evacuate by foot if you need to do so? Most disasters can be greatly mitigated if you just plan a little, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

We Are Due

The Islamist extremists who are at war with the Western nations have not declared a truce, they have not given up the fight. Week after week the FBI and local authorities arrest both foreign and domestic terrorist suspects. These are not the right wing Americans that the Justice Department and Hollywood is so afraid of, they are Muslim extremists. They want to kill enough Americans that the US will surrender to them. They want Sharia law in the entire world. That is what they claim as their goal. They have been working toward that goal since the beginning. They have been fighting Americans since the inception of the Republic. We have been fighting back off and on since the Andrew Jackson administration. This is why things like wiretapping are important. It is one of the ways that you find out what they are planning ahead of time. It is why Guantanamo is important, keep known terrorists isolated so they can't communicate with those on the outside to continue to plan attacks. The terrorists arrested after the first World Trade Center attack contacted other terrorists, sometimes with the help of their lawyers, and coordinated the 9/11 attacks. It is not Americans who don't do these things, it is the politically correct Liberals who prevent this stuff from happening. When the Bush administration tried to educate people about how to protect themselves from a chemical attack, about buying duct tape and plastic to cover windows, the Hollywood Liberals made fun of them on all the talk shows and late night TV shows. It takes the terrorists 5 to 10 years of planning for a major event, we are about due for one; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Undertaxed, Underarmed, Undersiege

The California legislature has increased taxes this year. Our taxes are now the highest state taxes in the nation. Our Lieutenant Governor has said that even now with our massive budget shortfalls, the people of the State of California are under taxed. Apparently having the highest taxes in the nation is still not enough to satisfy our Democratic Party overlords. Now the state legislature has passed a highly restrictive bill to control the sale of gun ammunition. They think that the people of California should not be able to go hunting, target shooting or defend themselves unless the comply with a long list of unnecessary and unconstitutional restrictions on their Second Amendment rights. Criminals will not comply with these laws, they will simply find ways to circumvent them. The worst thing the state legislature has done this year is to mandate the release of tens of thousands of prisoners from state prisons. They want to save money. These prisoners were tried and convicted and sentenced by judges and juries. Justice demands that they serve their full sentences. Public safety demands that they serve their full sentences. Our legislature takes unprecedented amounts of our money to run state services, they take away many of our rights to self defense, then they have the gall to tell us they can't afford to keep prisoners in jail. Every one of the Democrats in our legislature and three or four of the Republicans need to be removed at the next election; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

President Obama went to Europe to try and get the Olympics for Chicago. He failed. This will be the first of many high profile failures for his presidency. I don't think it was right for Chicago to get the Olympics. The US has hosted the Olympics several times, Los Angeles has hosted them twice! Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Olympics and for the first time they will be held in South America. They were my first choice. I think they should rotate through all the continents, with each one taking place in different places each time. That is more in keeping with the international spirit of the Olympic ideals than having them in the same countries, and same cities over and over again. Too many Americans don't realize how far behind the rest of the world we are slipping. The public school system is failed to keep up with the educational needs of our children. We are importing brain power to run out infrastructure and space and military programs. We will see how great Brazil has become, what a great nation it is now; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
