Credit Card Fees

Mon Dieu! Credit card issuers broadening foreign transaction fees Credit card companies bring Federal regulations on themselves by continuing to charge huge interest rates, and adding fees on top of fees. Generally, I think that the government should not bother private industry with unnecessary regulations. Sometimes the companies involved simply do things that are so outrageous that the government has to step in. Credit card agreements are pages and pages long, filled with unintelligible information. Then to top it off, they change the agreement all the time. So just as you think you figured it out, they go and change it again. One of the advantages of using a credit card is that you can mail order from overseas or take it out of the country on vacation and not have to carry lots of cash. Now credit cards are diminishing the value of their own product by raising the fees on that service. At a time of global economic slowdown, why would you raise your fees? Seems like a poor idea to me, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Just one of the reasons why I don't use credit cards, but prefer cash.
