No Blood for Oil, Camrade

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=99573 There is some concern that Communist Vietnam may go to war with Communist China. I love it when our adversaries fight each other. There are some islands near the two nations that may have oil offshore. They are both interested in that oil. The world is looking for natural resources. As more of the world industrializes they will be in greater competition for energy and raw materials. The USA has huge resources of coal. We need to work harder to use coal in ways that are clean so that our energy dollars don't have to be sent overseas. The USA also has the ability to make and use nuclear energy. France and Japan both use tremendous amounts of nuclear energy. If it is safe and clean and renewable for those two nations, why won't it work for the US too? I think it should, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Newsmax.com - Cheney: Execute Terrorists If Cuba Prison Must Close Former Vice President Dick Cheney says that is the US is to close Guantanamo prison and can't find anywhere to keep the prisoners, that we should execute them. Unlawful combatants do not have the protections of the Geneva Conventions, since they don't represent nation states or other signatories to the Conventions. The US has tried several time to get rid of these prisoners, but few other nations want to take them. They realize they are dangerous people who in all likelihood will continue to be dangerous and problematic prisoners. As usual, the rest of the world claims they want the US to give up Guantanamo but they don't want the prisoners either. These prisoners should never be transferred to the USA. They should not be released as long as the War on Islamic Terrorist continues, which will probably be years more or longer. This is another one of President Obama's promises that would be better forgotten; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

First Strike for Japan

---http://www.boston.com/news/world/asia/articles/2009/05/25/japan_panel_wants_first_strikes_against_enemies_report/?rss_id=Boston.com+--+Latest+news Japan wants to have a first strike ability against potential enemies. The most important enemy in the near term of course is North Korea. The North Koreans are working on nuclear weapons and missiles that fly over Japan. Why is it that the North Koreans think it is okay to fire missiles over Japan but not okay for Japan to fly reconnaissance planes over North Korea? The North Koreans don't seem interested in serious negotiations. They seem to want to develop missiles and nuclear weapons for offensive purposes. The US has had nuclear weapons for 60 years, if we wanted to use them on North Korea we could have during the Korean War or any time since then. The North Koreans continually send commandos to South Korea and even smuggle drugs to Japan. The constantly provoke the peaceful democratic countries near them. Should the West wait until North Korea attacks South Korea or Japan or Taiwan or American forces with an atomic weapon? Perhaps not, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Palin & Kosovo

My friend Dave is in the US Army National Guard and serving in Kosovo right now. Here is his latest message to me from there: "So the past month has been the busy one for VIP type visitors here in Kosovo. Must be the fact that the 4 feet of snow has melted away. Although, I don't think the snow would have stopped the latest one. That's right, Governor Palin of Alaska. Our aviation unit here is from the Alaska Army National Guard. Gov Palin is known for visiting Alaska troops where ever they are in the world. More than I can say for our governor. As usual, we were tasked with providing her protection detail. She lived up to her reputation. She was humble, polite and very pro troops. We spent several hours in the village, where she visited a school that teaches English to the local children. A number of soldiers from our task force teach there on their own time. She also stopped and visited with every soldier she saw as well as every villager. It was nice to see but not so nice when you are trying to protect her. She also has enough sense to understand if you are going to walk on muddy streets, maybe casual is the way to go. Unlike our last visitor who went walking down muddy streets in 800 dollar loafers. You may have heard of him. I believe he had a few debates with Gov Palin last year. As usual, here is the picture that goes with it."

Will those who said Governor Palin lacks international experience be more impressed with her if she runs for national office next time?

Let Them Die

"President Obama suggested at a town hall event Wednesday night that one way to shave medical costs is to stop expensive and ultimately futile procedures performed on people who are about to die and don't stand to gain from the extra care."-- Peter Nicholas, Los Angeles Times President Obama favors abortion. Now he favors withholding care from old people too, to save money. Perhaps old people should just do the economical thing and have an assisted suicide. After all, we can't afford the Social Security payments anyway. Over the years the Federal Government has raised the retirement age. Perhaps they will set a maximum age too. Once you get beyond 90 you would no longer be eligible for medical care. Perhaps when the deficit is high, we could cut a year or two off that number. Maybe make it 88 or even 87. After all, few people that old voted for him anyway; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

I Won't Miss Him

Michael Jackson Dead at 50 Michael Jackson is dead at age 50 and may God have mercy on his soul. He was a sad and in my opinion, sick individual. When he was a child star his music was entertaining. As he got older he became stranger and strangers. Too many surgical procedures for no particular reason. Eventually he looked more like an alien in a cheap science fiction movie than a real human being. It was very sad that he felt it necessary to continue to modify himself surgically. That says to me that he was unhappy with himself. He is a good example that being rich and famous is no guarantee of being happy and finding satisfaction with himself. His legal problems are another example of an unhappy person. Fame is often a burden that gets people down rather than lifts them up. In the last thirty years I have become less and less a fan of Michael Jackson and found some of his behavior and the explanations for it to be less and less credible. I for one, will not miss him; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

YouTube - Taps Buglers at Arlington National Cemetery Thank you veterans. Too often our veterans come back from the war with little appreciation from the rest of us. They are fighting for our freedom, for the interests of the United States, and they give up their time and even their lives. Even when they are simply on active duty for training or in far off places that are fairly peaceful, they are away from home, and those they love. It can be very difficult for them. We need to make sure when they return they have the medical benefits they are entitled to get, the educational benefits, and the jobs they should have; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Free Iran

info@unitedagainstnucleariran.com Recent news reports indicate that Iran may have the ability to make nuclear weapons. A nation with unrest and police and soldiers firing on the protesters that may have nuclear weapons too. This could get very bad very soon. What happens when this nation begins to fall apart? Will their nuclear secrets get out to other nations that don't yet have nuclear weapons? Will Iran attack a neighbor to turn the focus to a foreign enemy? Will Iran use nuclear weapons against their own people if some cities actually break away from the central government? How many of their own people are Iranian security forces willing to kill to maintain power? President Obama has only been lukewarm in his support for those demanding freedom in Iran. The US should stand firmly behind those who want to have freedom and democracy. The Iranian government was invited to a White House 4th of July party. President Obama can't even bring himself to ask them not to come. That's a very tepid response, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Dumb Mom

http://www.parentdish.com/2009/06/04/british-court-says-woman-isnt-smart-enough-to-be-a-mom/... A British court says a woman is too dumb to be a mom. Her IQ is 71, lower than normal, but not all that low. I would think if you are smart enough to care for yourself, you could probably care for a child. They want to take her child away and adopt it out to another family. They say she will have little or no connection to the child after that. If the woman is not suspected of actual abuse, then why is her child being taken away? Perhaps she could go to classes, have supervised custody, or maybe even get married to a husband who can help care for it. Will the courts go a step further and require she be sterilized? After all, if she can't care for children why would she be allowed to have them? Perhaps the courts could institute a nationwide eugenics program to insure only parents that they approve of; that's the view of the Hysterical Right Wing.

Pixar Good

Pixar grants girl’s dying wish with home viewing of 'Up' pixar, up, movie, home, show, girl, cancer, die, huntington, beach. A local girl was dying of cancer and Pixar showed up at her home, showed her the new movie "UP" and left some gifts. It is great to see a big company that actually cares about their customers. It is also great to see someone from "Hollywood" who actually cares about the fans. This little girl wanted to see the movie before she died and when the family got in touch with Pixar they sent someone to the girls' home to show her the movie. The girl was too sick to actually go to a movie theater. She died the same day, happy that she got to view the movie. Thank you Pixar for actually carrying about your customers and your fans. That was a nice thing to do, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No Home Bible Study

Couple: County Trying To Stop Home Bible Studies - San Diego News Story - KGTV San Diego A couple is having a few people over to discuss the Bible. The county says they can't do that because they are a "church." If they had a few people over to swap wife's, or play poker or have a few beers then they would not be a church and that would be okay with them. The county is wasting the taxpayers dollars to persecute these Christians. There is no reason why the county should be involved in a few people getting together to have Christian fellowship together. The fact that they are having a religious meeting should exempt them from these laws anyway since our Constitution provides us with the freedom of religion and the right to peaceably assemble. Perhaps if they can't meet in their home they should meet in the county supervisors offices every day. Then they could discuss this with their representatives and also pray about it too. Maybe then the county supervisors office would be declared a church and have to close down too; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Too Hard, Too Soft, Just Right

Moaning German soldiers an 'embarrassment' say chiefs - Telegraph Too many of us in the West have become soft and unable to do hard work. All over Western Europe they import labor to do the hard work, from North Africa and other Muslim nations. Not unlike the Mexicans who come to the United States to pick crops, perform janitorial services, do construction, because American don't want to do the hard work. Some of that hard work is warfare. The German army, once vaunted as razor sharp, is now composed, in part, of a bunch of whiners that complain about their sleeping bags. The German soldiers at Stalingrad complained about their sleeping bags too. The West is becoming too soft, too afraid of taking risks, too scared to act in their own self defense. We want the government to take care of us. We want others to do the difficult work for us. We want everything to be nice and comfy and safe and warm. Too bad the world does not accommodate that desire for long; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Nuke Hawaii

US ready for possible NKorean missile launch to Hawaii: Gates - Yahoo! News In reading this news article, if I lived in Hawaii I would be looking to sell my house. The North Koreans are talking about launching a missile towards Hawaii. The US is sending a radar system, so we can watch the missiles come. The Obama Administration is also sending missile defenses to Hawaii. The same Obama Administration that consistently speaks out against "Star Wars" missile defenses as being useless. So if we follow the logic of the Obama Administration, then their own response to the threat is useless. The United Nations says the North Koreans can't ship certain cargoes out of the country. The North Koreans have a suspicious ship on the way to Singapore now, but the resolution does not permit the forceful boarding of the ship. The US is the strongest nation in the world and yet we are allowing an avowed enemy to develop nuclear weapons, fire missiles at the state of Hawaii and transport prohibited materials without any effective response. I even wonder if President Obama will even defend Hawaii if they are attacked. The United States should take the North Koreans at their word that they fulling intend to develop nuclear weapons and the ability to attack America. We should shoot down any missiles they fire and blockade the country until they dismantle their nuclear arsenal; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Nuclear North Korea

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090613/ap_on_re_as/as_koreas_nuclear North Korea has said they will never give up their nuclear weapons. If that is the case, what are we to do about it? While the most recent nuclear test was rather small, it was still a nuclear weapon. If North Korea can build one a month and develop a couple missiles, one to hit South Korea and one to hit Japan they could have a very dangerous arsenal in a few years. Imagine in eight years they have nearly one hundred nuclear armed missiles. They could fire fifty at South Korea, and thirty at Japan and still have twenty or so in reserve to fire at American fleets, or other troop concentrations. While they rain down these missiles one early morning their soldiers can pour over the border. So what is the US administration going to do about it? This is a time bomb waiting to go off. We can no longer wait for months and years trying to lure them to the bargaining table were we can risk giving them billions of dollars in aid only to have them ultimately reject nuclear disarmament. The US needs to devise a strategy that stops this problem and they better do it very soon; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Cut Off Your Ear

Enjoy music? Get pointed ears People get their ears surgically modified to look like a Vulcan or an elf. Plastic surgery should be done to make people who have an injury or deformity not to injure or deform people. Plastic surgeons who perform such surgeries should have their license to practice medicine revoked. Doctors are supposed to heal people. Doctors are supposed to make things better. Those doctors who give women unrealistically large breast implants, or who modify people bodies so that they look like animals or mythical creatures are not helping them. They are buying into their mental illness. A person that thinks there life will be better just because they get their perfectly good nose made smaller, their fully functional breasts made larger, their totally normal face re-arranged into the shape of an animal has a mental problem. They do not need plastic surgery. They need friends, a priest, a counsellor, not a plastic surgeon, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Priest and Girlfriend

Father Oprah Episcopal A popular Roman Catholic priest has quit the church and become an Episcopalian priest. His photo was taken with his girlfriend and he determined it was time to make a move. If you don't want to be a Roman Catholic priest any longer, should you go out with a girlfriend for weeks or even months or years before you make up your mind? Why not resign from the priesthood and move on before you create a scandal? In this case the man gets a girlfriend is seen in public with her and leaves the church afterwards. He was a very public figure and this only hurts the church. He will go on to be a popular Episcopalian priest where the standards are low and priests can do whatever they please without much fear of scandal. When you belong to an organization, you need to consider that the things you do may effect more than just yourself. They will effect the organization if your actions are public. It is very selfish to harm a group, then just leave them in the dust when the scandal breaks. There are many options to serve God, but when you give an oath, you need to keep it, or at least rescind it before you bring problems to your organization, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Green As Guilt

George F. Will - Going Green to Alleviate Guilt -- but Not Much Else - washingtonpost.com People are buying hybrid cars so they can feel better about their driving. Typically for most liberals it is not about actually doing something about the problem, the real reason is to feel better that they are doing something. The effectiveness of what they are doing is not as important as actually doing something. People like to sort their trash, buy products that can be recycled, and collect bottles and cans from the trash. They like this because they can feel better about saving the planet. Too many Americans are becoming citizens of the world and trying to save the planet. Not enough of them are trying to save America and be good citizens of the nation. Keeping our nation clean, keeping our cities and rivers and lakes clean should be important to us. Other nations that develop into more advanced technological societies their need for transportation, packaging and manufactured goods will increase greatly. The best things we can do for the world to save the planet is to develop vehicle engines that use less fuel, burn cleaner, and don't use oil based products. Rather than feeling guilty, rather than having the government regulate our society and businesses to death, we should be training scientists to work on these projects that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Swine Flu Pandemic The World Health Organization has now declared that the Swine Flu is a Pandemic. Strangely, I don't know anyone who has swine flu, nor has my daily life been effected by swine flu. Other than reading about it on the Internet or watching it on TV, there has been no change in my life. In Los Angeles County, just north of where I live, there have only been about two deaths attributed to it. This is a county with probably 800 murders a year and I suspect even more deaths from traffic collisions. I would think that for a disease to rise to the level of "Pandemic" there should be some sort of noticeable change in the way life is going. Nothing here seems at all different. The swine flu seems a remote danger, far less than getting murdered or killed in a car wreck. The news was filled a few weeks ago about a couple people locally who were hit by lightening. This is not an area known for lightening storms and we had two people hit. I would think that a pandemic would indicate more danger than the remote possibility of being hit by lightening. The media kept reminding us of the 1918 flu pandemic and how millions of people died, and there were bodies in the street. It seems this pandemic may be more along the lines of the flu that killed almost as many people as lightening strikes; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Muslims In Prison

http://www.nypost.com/seven/05232009/postopinion/opedcolumnists/radicals_in_our_prisons_170673.htm?page=0 Muslims have been recruiting people in the U.S. prison system for decades. If we close the Guantanamo detention center, there is talk of putting these terrorists in American prisons. While the chance of them escaping is very low, that is not the real problem. The real problem is that they will recruit more prisoners into radical Islam and create more terrorists. Prisoners will think of these terrorists as a type of celebrity. They have been in the toughest prison we have. They have withstood "torture." They were fighting against the US in the War on Muslim Terror. They will be sought after by certain members of the prison population. They will recruit others who will get out, who will commit other crimes when they are returned to society. These terrorists are too dangerous to bring back to America, even if they are locked up. They are not common criminals, they are terrorists. They are unlawful combatants in a war. Just like lawful prisoners of war they need to be locked up for the duration of the conflict. If that means they stay locked up for fifty years, that's okay with me. US prisoners were kept by North Vietnam for over ten years in many cases, and that was a more conventional war. There is no reason to bring these terrorists to the US; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Missile Defense

http://docs.ewi.info/JTA.pdf A group of scientists are claiming that a U.S. missile defense shield would not be effective in protecting Europe from Iranian nuclear missiles. The report says Iran will have these missiles in perhaps as little as five years. They go on to explain that if Iran were to attack Europe with nuclear missiles, Iran would be destroyed by retaliatory attacks. I hope that the people who wrote this report live in major European cities that will be within range of Iranian nuclear missiles. They deserve to live with the consequences of their actions. This is typical of liberal thinking. We can't guarantee that this anti-missile system will be 100% effective so we should not build it. How about an anti-missile system that stops one Iranian nuclear missile? A system that will save the lives of 100,000 or a million people would not seem to me to be a waste of time. A system that might save Paris even if Berlin or Brussels gets destroyed would not be a failure. Just as the Iranians will be working on nuclear weapons for five or more years, Americans and our allies will be continuing to work on the missile defense system. That system can be perfected over time. It also makes the Iranian missile attack more difficult. There is no reason to make an attack easy for them.

Spying roboflies to get minicam eyes - tech - 22 May 2009 - New Scientist The military is working on robots that are very tiny, the size of bugs. They are working on making them fly. Now they are giving them tiny cameras that can transmit images to remote locations. Tiny flying bugs that work as spy's are in the works and may be coming to a wall near you. What laws will need to be written to protect our privacy from tiny bugs that can fly into our workplace or into our homes? Who will be able to buy tiny bugs to spy on us? Will our boss be able to fly a bug into our cubicle and listen and watch our activity at work? Will some weirdo be able to fly one into a public restroom and photograph us? Will every public place be filled with tiny cameras on wings, taking our pictures and posting them live on YouTube? These devices will be a great boon to military intelligence data collection. Imagine OBL sitting in his rat infested cave. Every time a bug walks by or buzzes past he will have to worry about it being an American bug. This new technology is both a blessing and a curse, just like most technology; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Boy / Girl

Omaha.com Metro/Region Section

When you were a child, if you told your parents you were a tree, would they be good parents if they put mulch on your legs and watered you? Should they trim you and prevent termite infestations from getting you? Would good parents tried to convince you the truth, that you were not a tree but rather a little boy or girl human?

A little boy wants to be a little girl. The experts tell the parents that's normal and they should just go with it. They tell the boy it is okay if he wants to dress as a girl, wear his hair as a girl, and act as a girl in every way. They look at a child and determine he is a boy, but allow him to indulge the fantasy or the medical condition that he wants to be a girl.

This is a big part of what is wrong with our culture. We can't even face up to the obvious. This little boy is not a girl, but we will have have to pretend he is not a boy to prevent him from having his feelings hurt. Wrong. Tell him he is a boy and man up. Don't indulge his sickness and tell him it is okay to wear wigs, or makeup or pantyhose. We need to be able to state the obvious without some doctor, with no common sense, telling us the opposite of what is true. That's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Kill Me Doctor

Washington State Assisted Suicide The State of Washington is allowing people to kill themselves with the help of doctors. Doctors are supposed to heal people, they are not supposed to kill people. This is a further corruption of the medical profession. Kill babies, kill grandma, kill people who don't feel good. A doctor can now serve people at every stage of live and never save any ones life. That's not medical progress. Soon they will want to kill people who can't speak for themselves. Then we will have to kill people who are not a good return on the investment of medical resources. This is one reason why having the Federal Government provide our health care is such a danger. A large part of health care dollars are spent on the old near the end of their life. It is so much cheaper when grandma starts to decline to just give her a shot and put her down, like the family dog. Doctors are already killing people for profit. Abortion, assisted suicide are all paying jobs for doctors. When they look at the financials for the hospital and see that they are spending too much money on the elderly they will start killing them too. At first, people will be given an option. Later, they will be encouraged to take the death option. Eventually, they will be strongly encouraged to take the death option. "I am sorry, Mrs. Johnson, you can't have any more pain medication for the rest of the month, but there is Option II." Finally, there will be no choice and it will simply be mandatory to kill off the old. Logan's Run is coming soon to a hospital near you; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

No American Book Burning

Conservative News, Views & Books - HUMAN EVENTS American soldiers had been given Bibles by their friends from back home. American policy allows those soldiers to give Bibles to their friends in Afghanistan. When these Bibles in the local Afghans language were shown on Islamic television, Muslims were outraged. Naturally, Americans caved into this pressure and burned the Bibles. Since when are American troops supposed to be the ones burning books? The United States stands for freedom, including freedom of religion. The US should be spreading that concept when we move into other nations and free them from dictatorships. The freedom of religious thought is a fundamental right of people everywhere. The US Army troops who had their Bibles taken should get an apology from our government and replacement Bibles sent to them right away. The Muslim nations need to open up to religious freedom, just as the former Communist governments of Eastern Europe have done. The Christian religion will always win out over others when there is a free market in ideas. That's why the Muslims are afraid of it, and punish with death those who convert to Christianity; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Ida Is Not a Relative Of Mine

'Ida' an extinct primate - and that's all (OneNewsNow.com) A new species of primate has been discovered and scientists and journalists are falling over themselves proclaiming this is an important fill in for the missing link in human evolution. Of course, in the same article it says that this animal is not in the same line as humans. So how can an animal that is not in the direct line of humans, show how human beings developed? The main stream media is so liberal that they publish headlines that support their liberal beliefs, even if the article they are headlining does not! Ida the extinct primate is a dead end in evolution, it is not in a direct line with humans or apes. It is a third line of evolution and is only the size of a small dog. It's line died out millions of years ago. It has no value in explaining human evolution. Dinosaurs and extinct animals are very interesting but by constantly beating the drum about human evolution, the main stream media generally gets the science wrong. They also frequently take the science well beyond what we really know and present speculation as fact. In the last several years I have watched television programs about life on Earth that take a leg bone of an extinct creature then then try and tell the story of it's life. Perhaps after you are dead someone will write your biography, based on your leg bone, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

The Sword of the Lord

"GENERAL DOUGLAS MACARTHUR ENCOURAGED EVANGELISM After World War II, in order to carry out the democratization of Japan, Five-Star General Of The Army Douglas MacArthur brought Christian leaders to the country to meet with Emperor Hirohito and encouraged mass distribution of Bibles to the population. MacArthur later stated to a visiting American churchman, "We must have ten thousand Christian missionaries and a million Bibles to complete the occupation of this land." (Source: Rodger R. Venzke, Confidence In Battle - Inspiration In Peace, 1977, p.24-25.)" The greatest weapon we have against Islam and the terrorists who would destroy the Western World is the word of the Lord. Yet, we have abandoned our very ideals and not insisted on religious freedom for the people of either Iraq or Afghanistan. Recently, our own US Army actually burned Bibles that were owned by US Army soldiers! We should be spreading more than just democracy, but religious freedom in the nations we conquer. Islam knows that whenever there is a free market of ideal that Christianity will prevail. That is why Islam makes it a crime to spread the word of Christ and a crime punishable by death to convert from Islam to Christianity. Those who try and claim that Islam is one of the great religions of the world that worships the same God as Christians are just wrong; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Japan, North Korea

http://www.boston.com/news/world/asia/articles/2009/05/25/japan_panel_wants_first_strikes_against_enemies_report/?rss_id=Boston.com+--+Latest+news Japan is considering a first strike ability since the North Koreans are making nuclear weapons. Is this the Asia we all want? A newly re-militarized Japan? I have no problem with Japan taking whatever steps they think they need to do to protect themselves, but is it in our best interest, the best interest of China and North Korea to have a well armed Japan? Japan invaded both Korea and China in not so many years ago. While today's Japan is much different there is still much distrust and animosity in Korea and China about those invasions. If North Korea does not want a re-militarized Japan, they need to scrap their nuclear weapons. If the Chinese do not want a re-militarized Japan, they need to lean on North Korea to stop making and deploying nuclear weapons and missiles. Korea should be reunited as on democratic nation. I pray that the Communist government of North Korea will soon realize that they cannot win a war against the US, South Korea and Japan and will instead work on a transition to a peaceful reunion with South Korea. If they do not only disaster will follow, certainly for North Korea and perhaps for others too; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Internet Security

Toddler Accidentally Buys $12K Construction Digger Online A little kid got on his mothers computer and purchased a $12,000 piece of construction equipment. Why are computers and the Internet so insecure and so easy for the wrong people to use? The smartest and richest people in the world make computers and run the Internet yet they make products that don't work right and are too hard to use! Computers crash, viruses infect computers, people from other countries send us illegal solicitations, and others steal our identity. The people who make computers need to make them safer, more reliable and easier to use. The computer is very important in our lives, it is too important to have constant attacks on us every time we turn them on. I use computers every day at work, every night on my blogs, and every day for personal use. Every day I get at least 5% of my email as spam. Many of the email that I get is phishing schemes, and other con jobs. The Internet needs more security; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Credit Card Fees

Mon Dieu! Credit card issuers broadening foreign transaction fees Credit card companies bring Federal regulations on themselves by continuing to charge huge interest rates, and adding fees on top of fees. Generally, I think that the government should not bother private industry with unnecessary regulations. Sometimes the companies involved simply do things that are so outrageous that the government has to step in. Credit card agreements are pages and pages long, filled with unintelligible information. Then to top it off, they change the agreement all the time. So just as you think you figured it out, they go and change it again. One of the advantages of using a credit card is that you can mail order from overseas or take it out of the country on vacation and not have to carry lots of cash. Now credit cards are diminishing the value of their own product by raising the fees on that service. At a time of global economic slowdown, why would you raise your fees? Seems like a poor idea to me, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

'Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not.' ~ Thomas Jefferson The right of the people to keep and bear arms is the last defense against tyranny and disorder. The Second Amendment is not about hunting. It is not about shooting sports or the Olympics. It is not about gun collecting. It is about the people having the kind of weapons that are typically in use by the military so that the people can protect themselves from an oppressive government. That is not the modern interpretation of some right wing extremist. Those are the intentions of the founding fathers of the nation. That was their intent when they wrote the Bill of Rights to the Constitution. The Congress keeps getting bills to ban this or that gun. They keep talking about banning assault rifles. They speak about this gun or that gun is bad, or evil. Guns are just a tool, good people use them for good, and bad people use them for evil; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
