http://ballotpedia.org/wiki/index.php/California_Proposition_4_(2008) California will soon be voting on an initiative to require that all abortions done in this state on minor girls wait 48 hours and that the parents of the girl be notified of the procedure before it can be performed. The opponents of this proposed law say that girls who have parents who are abusive will injure them or evict them from there homes if they are forced to tell them about a pregnancy. There are sections of the law that allow the minor to inform other family members if the parents are abusive. It is illegal in California for girls under the age of eighteen to have sexual relations, they are not considered old enough to give informed consent. Any of these girls get pregnant, then they have obviously been the victims of a criminal act. It does not seem unreasonable to me to require that girls who are victims of criminal acts are required to at least tell their parents about it before having a major and potentially deadly surgery. When you were a child, if your sibling said, "Don't tell mom or dad" that meant they were doing something they knew they should not be doing. That is what this law is about, "don't tell mom or dad." In California various forces are once again trying to undermine the authority of parents by allowing abortion providers who make money on performing abortions to determine if it is appropriate for a girl to have an abortion. Planned Parenthood performs thousands of abortions and makes millions of dollars on these operations. They are providing most of the money for the campaign to defeat this initiative. Naturally they are simply trying to insure their money making machine continues to roll. Abortion is big business and they don't want anyone to restrict their ability to make money off of pregnant girls; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video_log/2008/09/nra_rolls_out_four_ads_against.html Why is it that the Democrats are so interested in gun control? Why would they want to take guns away from decent law abiding people? Many Americans collect guns in the same way others collect stamps, books, knives, coins, automobiles and many other things. There is nothing wrong with owning a thousand collectible coins or a thousand collectible guns. Decent law abiding people use firearms everyday for self defense. Why should honorable people be disarmed and forced to face criminals without weapons to defend themselves? Many Democrats claim the Second Amendment only allows the National Guard to keep weapons. Can you seriously think that the founders would have used their privately owned guns to defeat the British and then write a Constitution that would prevent those same veterans from owning guns? Millions of Americans go hunting and accidental firearms deaths are fewer now then they were a hundred years ago. Many of them put food on the table by hunting and enjoy hours of recreation while hunting. Why would Democrats deny this by banning their guns? If Obama gets elected and if we continue to have a Congress dominated by Democrats we can only expect more gun control. Gun control that does not reduce crime, but will increase crime, even violent crime. Gun control that will take away the hobbies of collectors, the food will be taken away from hunters. More gun control is not needed in this country, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

At the end of World War One the German economy collapsed as a result of the war, the German Army in WWI was not defeated in the field, in fact, they defeated Russia. As a result of the Treaty of Versailles which was very harsh towards Germany the concern was that Germany was stabbing in the back at the peace negotiations by leftist politicians who could have gotten a better deal for Germany. The US military is winning the war in Iraq, and if Obama wins the election and if he quickly pulls American troops out of that nation then there are many who will feel as if the military was stabbed in the back. Many American veterans feel that way over Vietnam. The Americans never lost a major battle in that war, yet we lost it due to a lack of support back home. The Vietnamese Communists practiced asymmetrical warfare, knowing they could not win in the field, they fought the war with surrogates here at home. So if your guilt at not supporting the troops in the field causes you to worry that liberals may be accused of stabbing the military and by extension, the nation in the back, perhaps you should get behind the soldiers and the war and work for victory, not just peace; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Depressed receiving lethal injections, not treatment (OneNewsNow.com) Doctor assisted suicide in Oregon was supposed to be for those who were near death from some terrible disease to end their pain and suffering. Now it seems if you are depressed, that's good enough for them to end your life. The culture of death has taken more steps to bring more people to an early death. The Constitution provides for Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Yet, this right to life is slipping away right before our eyes. The sick and infirm are in too much pain to let them live, and they are too expensive to keep alive. The old take up too great of a percentage of our limited medical resources. Perhaps they should go too. Those who are not fit enough to work, perhaps if we did not have to pay for their medical care, beyond a simple injection, then we could provide medical insurance for the uninsured children. Not including those children who have a poor quality of life because they are retarded, or maybe just depressed, or maybe because they voted wrong in the last election; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Obama's 'civilian national security force' Presidential Candidate Obama is quoted as saying: "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." Just as strong and well funded as the military? The military is the large part of our budget and we are going to spend just as much money on some other organization as the military? Where will that money come from? Obama says he is going to cut taxes on 95% of the taxpayers. Is he planning on taking everything from the other 5%? That's hundreds of billions of dollars he wants to spend on some vague "civilian national security force" and no one is talking about it. Just what will this national security force do? Will he nationalized our state and local police forces? Eliminate our State National Guard and State Militias? Centralizing more control at the federal level. What will this force do on a day to day basis? Will they be armed? Who will they be armed against? Will they protect us from crime? How about thought crimes? Perhaps they will enforce the Fairness Doctrine. Perhaps that could be applied to TV and radio and the Internet. If you don't participate in Newspeak the Civilian National Security Force will show up on your doorstep to help you and reeducate you, by force if necessary. It has happened in every Communist country, perhaps it will happen here; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Syria: US conducted cross-border raid - The Long War Journal The United States military showed again today that the enemies of the nation cannot use third party nations to hide in and attack America. Syria has long been a haven for our enemies from al Queda and there has been speculation for years that they could be next on the list of nations to attack after Iraq. Just as Afghanistan permitted Al Queda training bases in that nation, so has Syria. By making this raid we are putting both Syria and Iran on notice that cross border raids by Al Queda and other Muslim extremists groups into Iraq will not go without answer. Syria and Iran have allowed Muslim terrorists to train, rest and equip in their border regions and then raid into Iraq, putting Americans at risk. The mainstream media generally ignores this or treats this like no big deal. Suddenly, our enemies see that this behavior will no longer be tolerated, that there is no safe haven for terrorists who would endanger Americans and our allies. In the Vietnam War, North Vietnam, and Cambodia became sanctuaries for the Communists to hide from American military power because we lacked the will to attack our enemies there. We allowed the enemy to dictate the terms of engagement and allowed little dictatorships to who hate American anyway to hide our enemies. Syria has long been an enemy of freedom and it is time we stood up to them; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

U.S. Passports: made overseas, obscenely profitable - WalletPop Blog At a time when we are fighting a war on terror, should we have outsourced production of passports? The US has them printed in Holland and then the RF transmitters are finished in Thailand. Why does this seem like a good idea? These documents and their parts should be made here in the USA. How soon before we outsource our money? Maybe North Korea would like to start printing our $100 bills, they have been counterfeiting them for years, why not just give them the job? The US Passport is the document that allowed people to enter and leave the country and travel all around the world. It is a gateway document that allows people to obtain other documents. The US Passport should be the most secure document in the world, no lessor standard is acceptable. The government wanted to save a few dollars so they allowed this document to be outsourced. Some things are not dollar sensitive and should not be outsourced. Perhaps Iran can build our nuclear weapons, they have been working on them for years? One of the ways we track "persons of interest" is by their passports. The passport allows us to know where they are at a given time. That can allow intelligence operators the ability to determine what some potential terrorist may be doing. This is one document that should not be compromised and so must be produced here in the USA; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

own's parade draws fire for dropping 'Christmas' - Weird News - Kentucky.com A town had a Christmas boat parade. Someone complained that 'Christmas' was not 'inclusive' enough. Christmas is not inclusive? Who was denied participation? Who was prevented from sailing their boat in the parade? Christ came to save the sins of the whole world. What part of that was not 'inclusive?' So we change the name of the parade based upon a lie, that Christmas in not inclusive. Christmas is a theme. In the United States many people who are not even Christians celebrate a more secular version of Christmas. Rodolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Santa and elves, are not from the New Testament, but appear every Christmas. Too often in an effort to be 'inclusive' we exclude others. Why have a 'Holiday' parade in late December if not for Christmas? If someone does not like Christmas, why not let them have their own parade some other time? Then the two people who complained about the Christmas parade that thousands of others participated in every year can parade in their rowboat; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

I was reading an article in Los Angeles Confidential magazine. In the article the author bemoans the fact that a murder was able to steal a legal, locked firearm from a relative and then murder his wife and child. She complains about the Supreme Court ruling that the Second Amendment protects an individuals right to keep and bear arms. The article also contains additional information about the accused killer having a lover outside his marriage, reading pornography on the Internet and using prostitutes. Now, it seems to me that the relatives who had their gun stolen were victims. Yet they are depicted as enablers of the criminal. Despite the fact that they lawfully owned their guns, the criminal broke into their home and stole their locked guns. The problem is not the presence or absence of firearms. If the killer can't get guns, they just kill with other methods; knives, strangle someone with a scarf, or beat the victim with a stick. The problem is with the values of the murderer. Nowhere in the article is a hue and cry raised against Internet pornography. Perhaps if pornography were not so readily available this person would not have killed. Perhaps if the police focused more on the elimination of escort services and prostitution rights this person would not have killed. Perhaps if his lover were moral enough to avoid having an affair with a married man, he would not have killed. It is the evil of the killer that brought us the murder, not the presence of guns; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Hot Air » Blog Archive » The comprehensive argument against Barack Obama This blog makes an excellent, logical argument against electing Barack Obama to the presidency of the United States. Unfortunately, it does not matter. The people who are voting for Barack Obama for President don't care about any of the issues or facts that Conservatives are emphasizing in this election. He is pro-abortion, even pro-infanticide. His supporters don't care about this. Even Roman Catholics are voting for him despite his pro-abortion extremism. He claims he will reduce taxes, yet his record shows he has consistently voted to raise taxes. Again, his supporters don't care about his record, they only care that he says he will cut their taxes. Obama has radical friends and associates, his supporters don't care, they too are anti-establishment and his radical connections are seen as a positive by them. Obama has no real foreign policy experience, but he says he will talk to anyone and that he is for peace and will take the troops out of Iraq. His supporters don't care that we are winning in Iraq, they want peace at any price. His supporters think talking is as good as winning and is an end in itself; that it is an alternative to war. Obama has no respect for gun rights or for the common man, but neither do his supporters. The average Joe the Plumber lives in "flyover country" parts of America that conservatives consider the heartland of the nation but that Obama supporters think of as lacking sophistication and intelligence. They hate guns and church and tradition and see Obama as one who will do away with them. Obama supporters will charge racism against anyone who votes against or criticizes Obama, but many of them will vote for him only because he is Black. Nearly all Black voters will vote for him without regard to his polices and there effects on them or the nation. Obama has accomplished almost nothing of note in the Senate, yet we are expected to think he will accomplish much as president. I fear for the nation if we get a Democratic Congress and a President Obama; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Dangerous Fakes - BusinessWeek The US military is buying parts that are often counterfeit electronic chips from Communist China. Why are we buying military parts from a potential enemy? What type of security is that? How can we insure a supply of military parts if we are buying them from a nation that often does not support our international agenda and may even be a potential enemy? This article says that there may be as many as 15% failures due to improper components. That is a huge difference in function, a new weapon system that is 15% better than the previous weapon that is a good difference. There needs to be people going to jail for these failures. Americans who sell counterfeit materials to the military are traitors who need to go to prison forever. They are not simply cheating the government out of money, not just endangering the lives of our soldiers, but placing our national security in danger. Often in warfare, a single missile, or bomb, or plane can make a big difference in the outcome of a battle or a war. Soldiers need to have confidence in their weapons, we rely on our forces having a high technology advantage over our enemies, that advantage is gone if we have weapons that are defective. We cannot allow our War on Islamic Terror to distract us from the other enemies that we have; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.catholicvote.com/ This website shows a video that produced by Roman Catholics and the issues that they should consider when they vote. This video shows that Roman Catholics need to consider the right to life and the duty to protect life and and it explains that traditional family should be defended, not redefined. The Roman Catholic church itself needs to do a better job about protecting life and defending the traditional family. Senator Joe Biden, Teddy Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi and others say publicly they are devout, practicing Roman Catholics. Presumably they are going to Mass every Sunday. These same devout, practicing Roman Catholics then speak in public about issues of life and family that the Church says are against their teachings. The Roman Catholic Church does not support abortion and it does not support a redefinition of family. The Church needs to publicly dispute with those elected officials who claim to follow the teachings of the Church, but in reality, defile those teachings and actively work against those teachings. Abortion is immoral and should not be supported by Catholics. Same sex marriage is immoral and should not be supported by Catholics. You cannot be for legal abortion, same sex marriage and be a Roman Catholic; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

First Graders Taken to San Francisco City Hall For Gay Wedding - Christian Newswire In California we are soon to vote on Proposition 8. A YES vote will protect traditional marriage and make "gay marriage" illegal. A few months ago our courts said that 150 years ago when they wrote the laws the legislature intended to grant marriage rights to same sex couples. Marriage is based on the Jewish and Christian principles that say one man should marry one woman that he is not otherwise related to. It is important for laws to be based on principles that are relatively unchanging. It allows a society to be more stable, it makes laws that are more consistant, and it allows people to more readily understand and follow the law. If marriage is redefined to allow same sex marriage, what will we do in a few years when there are more Muslims in the state? Will we suddenly determine that it is okay for a man to amass a harem of women? Muhammad married a little girl, will we allow men to marry twelve year old girls? And if we allow girls then under the same sex laws, men could marry twelve year old boys too. Changes like this are unacceptable and should not happen, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

They came, they saw, then left the Afghan war without a single mission - Scotsman.com News German special forces went to Afghanistan and left without participating in a single mission. They spent their entire deployment in their base camp. Allies in name only. Allies who want to meet their NATO obligation without actually doing anything. For fifty years American troops stood guard along the Interzonal Border with East Germany facing down the Soviet Union. Tens of thousands of American soldiers knowing that at any moment the Soviets could come crashing across the border, yet we sent them there year after year placing them in harms way to protect an Ally. Now when America needs help, the Germans give military aid in form but not in substance. Both presidential candidates speak of the need for more troops in Afghanistan, why not instead speak of the need for our Allies to do more? We sent troops to Bosnia and still have troops there today. Bosnia was not as important to the US as it was to Europe, yet no Germans were deployed there. I have been no great supporter of the French but at least their troops in Afghanistan are going on patrol and taking casualties. NATO is beginning to look more and more like another useless international organization unable to accomplish anything. They sent troops to Afghanistan but if they don't send enough to accomplish the mission then there is no point in sending them at all. If they send troops, but like the French as soon as a few are killed they want to go home, or if like the Germans send troops but don't let them fight, what good are they? We invite other nations to join us in Iraq and Afghanistan; Georgia sent troops to Iraq, and they are not yet even a member of NATO. If NATO won't fight, maybe we should get the troops out of Germany; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/09/the_man_who_never_was.html How interesting it is that Sarah Palin is governor of Alaska and when picked as the Vice Presidential nominee for the Republican party swarms of investigators descend on her little home town to dig up dirt on her. We are treated to hockey moms telling us all about her time there and told every detail of her life that can possibly have a negative spin on it. For Presidential candidate Obama, we get nothing from the main stream media. Charges soar left and right about the guy and they tell us nothing about him. He gets thousands of dollars from those who make home mortgages and who get bailed out by the government but we don't hear that. He hangs out with unrepentant terrorists and the media essentially ignores it. He drives thirty minutes every Sunday to attend a racist church that is far from main stream Christianity and the media ignores it. The other thing the media does is ignore news stories that might make Americans think a President should have good foreign policy experience. In the past few weeks North Korea suspended the inspections of their nuclear facilities. That was ignored by the media. In the past few days Venezuela tossed out the American ambassador, that was ignored by the media. Obama says he will talk to anyone without pre-conditions. That's good to know, I am sure there will be a lot of talking necessary after North Korea and Iran set up nuclear armed missiles in Venezuela, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

In her interview with Charlie Gibson, Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin said "Charlie, if there is legitimate and enough intelligence that tells us that a strike is imminent against American people, we have every right to defend our country. In fact, the president has the obligation, the duty to defend." The next day the main stream media attacked Sarah Palin for being unsure about the Bush Doctrine. But what really matters is we never got a straight answer from Barack Obama or from the main stream media about the validity of that doctrine. That is what is important about that discussion, not the differing interpretations about the Bush Doctrine. In an event where the intelligence community tells the president that a particular nation may be preparing to attack the United States, what is the proper response for the President? The obvious answer is the United States must attack first. If the Japanese Fleet sailing towards Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 5, 1941 were discovered by American Naval forces, what should they have done? I believe they should attack them and prevent the attack on Pearl Harbor. Venezuela, North Korea, and Iran are three nations where our intelligence people are watching for a potential attack on the US or our allies. This is not just an exercise in alternate history. If Obama does not think that is the proper action to take, then he should say that. If he does think that is the proper action, to attack our enemies before they attack us, then he, and the main stream media should stop attacking Sarah Palin about this conversation. Too often the media focuses on those issues that are not relevant to our lives. We need to know were our elected officials stand on these issues, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Newsmax.com – Obama Attacks Fox News in N.Y. Times Magazine Obama says that according to Fox News: "I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?" Well, yeah. What part of that is untrue? He was giving an interview to the N.Y. Times Magazine, did he tell them he does not read their newspaper? Was he actually sipping a latte at the time of the interview? Just what kind of car does Obama drive. Arnold Schwarzenegger drives a massive Hummer, I suspect Obama does not drive one. Effete? Was Obama ever in the Army? Navy? Was he a cowboy, fireman, police officer, steelworker? No, he was a community organizer. Does not sound like a very manly job to me. Obama essentially wants to ban all civilian ownership of firearms. It is Sarah Palin that we see shooting assault rifles and hunting big game animals, certainly not the image Obama has crafted. We all know that Obama has the most liberal record of all the Senators, so that charge looks to be absolutely true from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Decency, Toughness ... and No Shortcuts We are winning the war in Iraq. I had no doubt that we could win the war, it was always a matter of political will. We did not have the will to win in Korea and so 50 years later we still have thousands of troops there and we worry about a nuclear armed Communist North Korea. We did not have the will to win in Viet Nam and they live in poverty and tens of thousands of American veterans can't get over the sacrifice they made for a nation that would not support them. Our new president must keep up the pressure on our enemies. A rapid withdrawal will leave a power vacuum that will be filled by our enemies. We must continue to maintain tens of thousands of troops there, probably for years, most likely for decades. The Middle East is a dangerous place and our Allies need to know that we will be there for them if they get into trouble. If we need more troops for Afghanistan, then increase the size of the Army or get our allies to carry more of the load. A timetable or a rapid withdrawal are foolish examples of wishful thinking. How about a timetable for pulling out of Korea? We still have troops there because there is still danger there. How about a time table for pulling out of Germany? We still have troops there because it serves the national interest of the United States for them to be there as forward bases in a secure area. US troops need to stay in Iraq, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

AIG Executives Blow $440,000 After Getting Bailout - FOXBusiness.com If my company got a big bailout from the Federal Government, I can anticipate that I may want to get all my executives together for a meeting and tell them how things would be from now on. I would go to a Holiday Inn or perhaps even find a Motel 6 or even a YMCA with a conference room. I would tell them how we were going to try and avoid lay offs, but that to do that we needed to cut every expense, cut every unnecessary expenditure. I would tell them the chauffeured limousines, massages and ice sculptures were a thing of the past. We were going to be lean and businesses like, maybe even cheap. We would concentrate on our core competency of selling and servicing the insurance industry. I would tell them every dime we spend would be to service our customers, not for the purpose of self aggrandizement. In times of economic uncertainty, when the company is on the verge of collapse, we are not going to spend one cent we don't need to spend. We are going to be model citizens and be grateful for the money the taxpayers gave to save the company. We would be certain that all expenditures were open and above board and anyone who did not choose to operate in that form of environment would be fired immediately. That's what I would tell them, that's how I see it from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Gun factory in sights Deseret News (Salt Lake City) Find Articles at BNET Hugo Chavez wants the Russians to build a small arms factory in Venezuela. The concern is that they will make AK47 type assault rifles and will export them to support guerrilla movements all over South and Central America. Other reports indicate that he may be cozing up to Iran. The same anti-American Iran that makes long range missiles and is working to build nuclear weapons. Some are concerned that Iran will be able to target much of Europe with nuclear weapons in a few years, if Iran wants to sell these missiles and weapons to Venezuela what will the US do about it? Imagine a few years from now, "President Obama" is talking to Iran and Venezuela but while he is talking they are acting. Our defense budget has been cut as he has withdrawn the troops from Iraq and downsized the Army again. In order to help pay for his massive give aways he has cut our Navy and cut out the Star Wars Missile Defense System entirely, a favorite item for Democrats to cut. What do we do when Chavez has nuclear armed missiles on our doorstep? Will be be able to respond like President Kennedy did with a blockade and firm resolve to invade if the missiles are not removed? Or will we be so impotent that we have to live with their threats to us? We have a few years to prepare, but what are we going to do? I suspect we are going to do nothing, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

AB 2498 Firearms Training Bill was vetoed by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Good. Our state has once again tried to harass lawful gun owners by passing legislation that at first glance may seem okay, but in reality means nothing. This bill was supposed to require anyone who attended a firearms training class to get a certificate that said they were lawfully allowed to posses a firearm. As if criminals are constantly going to legitimate firearms training courses and learning all about guns. This is just a veiled way to further harass lawful citizens to prevent them for exercising their firearms rights. You would have to wait for the government to process your request and if they were "busy" you could not attend a training class. Of course, there would be an additional expense to the citizen to have to pay for this certification, so again, firearms training would cost more for the law abiding citizens. These types of government certifications are very dangerous. When they are first proposed they only cost a couple dollars and they take a few minutes to get. Over time, anti-gun governments gradually increase the cost, and take longer to get the certification. Security guards often wait months for their licenses to be processed because they claim the background check takes so long. Thanks to our governor this useless and dangerous law was vetoed, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

'Gossip' Guy Badgley Thinks Thin '90210' Gals Should 'Eat a Double Cheeseburger' Hollywood has too much influence on our youth and too often it is a negative influence. One very disturbing trend is the desire for every young girl to look like she just got out of some gulag prison camp. Being 5' - 6" tall and 87 pounds is not healthy. Women need to look like women but I think sometimes the perverts who run much of Hollywood make women look too much like twelve year old little girls, skinny as a rail, no hips and no breasts. In some ways almost like little boys. Health and fitness are important for the nation and those who provide entertainment and role models should do a better job of setting an example of fitness for our youth. The goal should not be to make everyone weigh less than 100 pounds, it should be for everyone to be fit and healthy. People would complain if they showed a pet dog on television with every rib visible, why don't they complain when it is a young woman? These poor young women look like drug addicts and I suspect that part of the reason for this fashion is to help Hollywood hide drug abuse among it's actresses. If you make looking like a gangster fashionable then your gangster TV stars don't look out of place. If you make looking like a crack addict or methamphetamine addict the fashion statement of the year then it makes it easier to hide the addiction of your actresses. Actresses that are addicted to drugs will do anything for the high it gives them so they are much more amenable to playing roles that are tawdry, cheap or disgusting; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Met Police officers to be 'microchipped' by top brass in Big Brother style tracking scheme Mail Online Some criminals are out on bail or parole or probation and required to wear a bracelet that has GPS in it to track their location. This way if they commit another crime there is proof of where they were located when the crime happened. In London they are planning to give each police officer a microchip that will use GPS to track the officer the entire time while they are on duty. They can look at a big map and there will be a dot indicating where each officer is located. Some people are already worried about this technology being used on everyone. An island like the UK is perfect for to begin this type of tracking since the people can only go so far. They can't get off the island except by boat, aircraft or Chunnel. In the UK the police set up road blocks and stop every person walking down the street and search them for weapons. Some have suggested that be done here too. We already have designated areas a "gun free" zones and "drug free" zones. Child molesters are typically not allowed within a thousand feet of a school. Perhaps we could paint a line on the ground a thousand feet away from each school and have the police stop every person who enters that gun / drug / child molester free zone and search them, identify them and run their backgrounds? There are tens of thousands of schools in the United States, that would take too many police to be practical. Perhaps as a cost saving measure we could tag everyone who is a convicted child molester, drug user, or gun owner and use GPS to track them? We should probably track every child too so that we would know when those child molesters came within a thousand feet of a child? And naturally, if the UK is tracking their police we should track all of our police. Perhaps we should just track everyone, all the time, everywhere. After all "President" Obama wants to computerize all your medical records, why not computerize your whole life? That's what I am watching here at the Hysterical Right Wing.

While some Republicans dispair that the Governor of California is a RINO, Republican In Name Only, there is some advantage to having a Republican over a Democrat, even if the Republican is not very conservative. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger just vetoed AB 2567 which would have made a holiday to celebrate Harvey Milk. He was a homosexual activist who was murdered a number of years ago. With all the great men and women who called California home, he was one of the least worthy of this type of honor. President Ronald Reagan won the Cold War against the Soviet Union and there is no holiday for him. I have no doubt that a Democrat would have signed the bill. What this means to us conservatives on the national level is that even though we may not be very enthusiastic about John McCain he is far better than the alternative. McCain is very pro-defense, pro-gun and anti-abortion. He is not as socially conservative as I would like and he is not as fiscally conservative as I would like, but Obama would be a disaster as president. John McCain is our best choice to defeat Senator Obama. We should not allow ourselves to be siphoned off by voting Libertarian, or Constitutional Party or for any other third party candidate. Our nation will suffer if we don't rally behind the one man who may be able to beat Obama; John McCain. That's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

There is a joke going around the Internet for a while now that says: "Dear Abby, I am a twenty-three year old liberated woman who has been on the pill for two years. It's getting expensive and I think my boyfriend should share half the cost, but I don't know him well enough to discuss money with him." I see too many women in our society that think as the woman in this joke. The most personal and intimate aspects of our lives we treat as if they were not of any importance. Women who claim to be "liberated" simply because they are willing to have sex with anyone who asks. Liberated from what? From feelings? From intimacy? From developing long term meaningful relationships? Sex should happen between a man and a woman who are lawfully married. Not under any other circumstances. If you love each other, get married. If he is leaving for Iraq next month, get married first. If you picked him up at a bar, then no. If you don't want to spend the rest of your life with that person, sharing everything, money, politics, toothpaste, tee shirts, and a refrigerator, don't have sex with that person. Can't talk about money with the guy, then don't sleep with him, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

VP debate moderator Ifill releasing pro-Obama book The moderator of the vice presidential debates has written a pro-Obama book and it will be released next year. That is the Hollywood main stream media ideal of fair and unbiased reporting. A liberal moderates between a liberal and a conservative. On the TV show The View they make such a big deal that they actually have a conservative woman host on the show. One out of four, so three liberals and one conservative. That again is the main stream media view of fairness. I first noticed this phenomena several years ago. A TV show would have three hosts. One would be an ultra far left near Communist, the other was a liberal and the third was touted as a conservative, when actually he was a moderate. That way the leftist view was made to seem closer to the mainstream and the conservative was seen to be closer to the left than conservatism really is so that real conservatives seemed ultra far right by comparison. Just another way the main stream media manipulates the viewer, that's what I see here at the Hysterical Right Wing.

Kindergarten Shooting Game Axed from Finnish Site - Video Game Features, PC Game Features In 2007 CBS television wanted over $2.5 million dollars to run a thirty second advertisement during the Super Bowl. I am certain that those who buy that ad space and CBS will tell you that it is an effective way of reaching their audience and getting them to buy your product or service. Let me write that again, it is an effective way of getting people to buy your product or service. If a thirty second advertisement played during the Super Bowl does not get people to spend millions of dollars, then the advertisement has failed. If people watching a thirty second video clip are not moved to take physical action and spend money then CBS is fraudulently selling a service that they charge you $2.5 million dollars to buy. Then we have a Finnish website that allows people to play a video game where the player / character is a janitor at a kindergarten school and the object of the game is for the player to go into the classrooms and murder little school children. Again, you win this game by murdering school children! So if you want to be successful at this game you will develop strategies that will allow you to murder the maximum number of school children in the shortest amount of time, while avoid getting yourself killed. The people who defend the game say that playing the game, perhaps for hours at a time, for days on end, does not affect the players in any negative way. How is it that CBS can charge $2.5 million dollars and tell their advertisers that this brief exposure of only thirty seconds will affect the behavior of perhaps millions of people, yet we can watch a video game for hundreds of hours, day after day and it will have no effect on us at all? Someone is lying. It cannot be both ways. We are in part the sum of what we see and do and experience. Watching TV is a very passive behavior, playing a video game involves much more interaction and thought. I think that watching evil video games does negatively affect behavior and that those who produce such material should be ashamed of the damage they do to our society. I like watching TV. I like playing video games, but we must make moral choices concerning what we take into our minds; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

National POW/MIA Recognition Day 2008 - The Sportster and Buell Motorcycle Forum September 19, 2008 was National POW / MIA Recognition Day. The members of our armed forces risk their lives for our freedoms, the least we can do is make sure they come home. Recently a US Navy submarine that was lost during WWII was located, bringing closure to dozens of family members. Prisoners of War have frequently been treated very badly by our enemies. In WWII the Japanese treated American soldiers with extreme cruelty and many died in their custody. In the Korean War and Viet Nam War the Communists tortured and brainwashed our soldiers for years. Missing in Action soldiers are in some ways more distressing to their families because there is no real closure for them. They can keep thinking that perhaps the service member is not dead and maybe he will come walking in the door any day. There are American soldiers missing in action from many of our wars, particularly Viet Nam and World War Two. It is important that we keep looking for the bodies of those who never returned. It is also important that we keep pressure on North Korea and Communist Viet Nam to account for all those we know were held by them as prisoners at sometime during those wars; that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

News Headlines - N. Korea orders UN nuclear inspectors from plant : Townhall.com North Korea kicks out nuclear inspectors from the United Nations. They were monitoring the agreement between various nations and North Korea that the Koreans will stop making nuclear weapons and will receive fuel oil in exchange for that agreement. As usual, the liberals and Communist apologists run around telling us that this is just a bargaining chip to get more from the US and other nations so we really don't have anything to worry about. Why is it that when our enemies fail to keep their agreements with us and commit provocative acts, it is just for a bargaining chip? If they make an agreement they need to keep it. This is the second time the North Koreans have done this. A few years ago they agreed to stop making nuclear weapons and disarm in exchange for food and fuel. They stopped and we had to start all over again. If they can't be trusted to obey the agreements they have made in the past why do we bother to continue to talk with them? Why do we think they will ever keep their agreements? They already have enough material to make six nuclear weapons. Should we wait until they have enough to make ten, or seventeen, or a hundred before we take military action against them? This constant desire to talk until it is too late will only leave us with more nuclear armed enemies. If the North Koreans think they can get away with this without paying a price why won't they continue to do this? We need to take action against North Korea sooner rather than later, they are a terrorist nation and cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.

Toward Common Ground PARADE Magazine This article in Parade says that we have to find "Common Ground" with the Muslims of the world. There are groups in Western society that want to move closer to Muslim society. They think there is compromise with people who want women to wear burkas. What is the compromise position with that? Women wear burkas on odd numbered days? They say that many oil rich Muslim nations have trouble finding jobs for their young people. Really? Then why do they import tens of thousands of foreign workers from the Philippines? The young people of those nations either don't want to work, or they are unqualified to work the kinds of jobs that are needed. They also ask if there is a clash of civilizations and then say "no" that the Muslims are just upset with our policies and actions, and want political freedom and economic freedom we have in the West. How do you reconcile that with Sharia Law? It does not grant freedom, it restricts the rights of nearly everyone far beyond any Western government does to it's people. They don't want women to run for office, they don't want women to vote, they don't even want women to have a license to drive a car! That's not a clash of civilizations? I think that it is, here at the Hysterical Right Wing.

Protecting marriage to protect children - Los Angeles Times Marriage is primarily designed to allow a man and a woman to live together and raise children. Not every family will do this, of course, but that is the design. By changing marriage to allow gay couples to marry each other we are changing the very nature of the family. We are saying that a partnership between and man and a woman is just as valid a family as one between a gay couple. It is saying that we think that gay couples should have all of the same rights as a married man and his wife. Including adoption, living in areas with children, working with children and having children with artificial means. Too me this is unacceptable. The nature of marriage has been unchanged for centuries and there is no reason to change it. Gay activity is immoral and the government should not officially sanction immoral behavior. Once this change takes place there will no longer be a guidepost to keep the limits of marriage from being changed. I have already read articles where people are talking about polygamy and child marriage are being proposed. We all have a morality. We impose that morality on others. We make laws against murder because we think it is immoral to kill people. We have laws to restrict who people can marry because we think it is immoral to have a brother marry his sister, or his mother, or for either two men or two women to marry each other or for more than two persons to be married. We must continue to impose this morality on that tiny minority that wants to make this change. If we do not, what will we say to the Muslims in a few years when they ask for child brides and multiple brides? It was good enough for Muhammad, but not good enough for Americans, that's the view from the Hysterical Right Wing.
